I really hope It is Anders and Gaider said if they brought back characters from origins its so they can continue to develop there character. With Anders I feel like they wrote a character that was good enough if not deserving to be in the origins and awakening. We know he was an "apostate" mage and that he was very sarcastic, and now he is a warden or whatever he was in other playthroughs, but as a mage who hated the circle and who has a little freedom now wouldn't you think he'd try to fight for equal rights for mages in Kirkwall and surrounding city-states being that its kind of the starting point for a new revolution for the mages we see a rebellion in the rise to power trailer with what looks like mages and templars...I could be, its all up for grabs. You can take or just throw it back

Eh, I thought Anders was dull. I'd rather have a new character. Though what has BioWare got against dark-haired men? All the sexy ones get killed off or you can't have them around for long.

In terms of more party members, if we get any, it is likely we will get a Quanari and another "odd" companion like Shale/A certain character you get in the end of ME2, possibly a werewolf/ talking darkspawn/ undead etc. (I don't think any of my examples are the case but after what happened in ME2 I think if the writers have the will, there is a way). Anyways my point is that if there are more party members, which I hope there are, as frankly we have too many humans again, I don't think they will be LI's.



I'm almost certain that Merrill, Isabella, Fenris and the male mage are all LI's. But I think that Aveline and Varric have a good chance too. Yes Aveline has a husband and yes Varric is a dwarf but this makes them all the more unique as LI's, but if anyone was not to be the LI's then it would be those two I guess. Also Varric is probably the bi option, because of his high importance to the story and therefore provides the chance for both hawks to romance the narrator and make his retelling even more personal.

Unknown. They announced all the love interests prior to Dragon Age: Origins, however. I think Valentine's Day would be a good one to announce the LI.

Anders did seem kind of dull, but the point i'm getting at is he only seemed that way due to the lack of story on his part not character, and I think bioware realizes how the have an opportunity to do his story justice by having him participate in the mage rebellion and allow more pieces of his story learned through more interaction. I support bringing anders back it just makes sense, imo

I saw Anders as the Han Solo of DaAw, and I really think that given a second chance the writers can do great things with him, plus think of ser-pounce-a-lot.

Feneris will be the male bisexual.

Isabelle will be the female bisexual. Also her personality seems to be similar to Zevran's and Morrigan's

Merril will be the straight female LI

Don't know about the straight male LI

I assume you will also be able to shag various temporary companions/non party NPCs.

That's what I think anyway.

You're remembering the artboard. It's the same thing with the qunari companion and mohawke elven archer chica.

I'm crossing my fingers for more squadmates, I've honestly been unintrested by the ones revealed so far in terms of an LI, with the exception of Hawke's sister, and....  

Also, what word do we have on the gay option? The wiki states having romance for all orientations, but that could mean anything. I'm not going to enjoy another Yeoman Chambers, and that's not far from impossible considering how much Bioware has made Dragon Age 2 look like Mass Effect 2.

I don't think the writers are gonna pull that one on us, and not only because they've definitively confirmed s/s romances. From the way David especially, and some of the other devs as well, have spoken up on the boards, I trust 'em to do right by us. There have been some posts where it really feels like they're getting it, which is not (IMO) something we've really seen from the Mass Effect team. (Not that they don't do good work, but they're def behind in this area.)

There are exclusively dark-haired male love interests in almost every BioWare game except Dragon Age. I'm glad they finally gave us blonds (though I wasn't expecting 2). I'm still waiting for a blue-eyed love interest. We haven't had one since Valen in Neverwinter Nights. And Sebastian is probably not one since he's DLC.

Looking how Merrill has just been revealed to be one of the most hated lonely lost souls of DA2 as she is not only elven and a mage, but also a maleficar and an outcast, I guess she is the one who fills the Morrigan/Viconia role. That said I feel safe to say she'll be the one my Hawkes will care about most. Which raises the possibility for her being a LI.

If you're right I hope the 'Anders guy' is the bi LI, and fenris and Merrill are str8.
