Point is that hole Mass Effect story is about war in galaxy. It's not about sexual situation. Sure, it does have romance in minor side situations.  Why to hell would game need nudity to anything? I mean what's the purpose of nudity in game?

Nudity has only one purpose and I don't think that's purpose of Mass Effect game, is it?

Actually as someone with a decent interest in war stories romance does feature heavily in them, casual sex to. Say what you want, it is a sexual situation, a number of people working closely together for a prolonged period of time in intimate situations (combat). Add to this the fact that they are under massive pressure and in serious danger and you have a place primed for sexual tension.

I would find it very hard to believe that there would be no relationships in that situation. What you show in the scenes is just opinion, if they can make the scenes a bit better then I would be happy.

My point was more like metaform: movie doesn't come better just because sex scene has nudity, because that sex scene wasn't main point of the movie.

I don't think anyone here insists Bioware should make a ME3 like romances weren't optional content.

I vote no to nudity. Mostly because there is absolute ZERO reason for it, in Mass Effect WAR story. You want porn, browse internet, it's full of it.

I see what you mean, but maybe this weren't the best way to express how do you feel about nudity in ME or entertainment in general.

The really funny part is that Cooper Lawrence actually apologized for her statements after watching someone actually play ME.

"I recognize that I misspoke. I really regret saying that, and now that I’ve seen the game and seen the sex scenes it’s kind of a joke."

"Before the show I had asked somebody about what they had heard, and they had said it’s like pornography. But it’s not like pornography. I’ve seen episodes of ‘Lost’ that are more sexually explicit."

Article.

The priorities here are all screwed up. I saw a funny penny-arcade a few years back concerning the GTA san andreas hot coffee controversy. It was along the lines of "in this game you can run over old ladies, gun down cops and american soldiers, hire hookers, sell drugs, ah it's fine. Wait, someone found a few files locked away on the disc left over from development phase that shows a horribly pixelated breast? ALERT CONGRESS, PULL IT OFF THE SHELVES!"

Even then, it's still up to the parents. I was at gamestop once and a kid had convinced his mom to buy him GTA4. Before ringing it up the clerk told the woman all the stuff you can do in a GTA game. She had a look of horror on her face and told her son he wasn't getting it. It shouldn't have come to that. Parents need to take 10 seconds to read the rating. That's too much to ask though, much easier to have the media and general prudish population try and get everything banned.

Of course this I haven't even touched on the blatant false reporting of ME1's "nudity". That topic has been covered well.

I'll give you my 2cents, OP. Enjoy.

Tbh, just as a slap to the face of every major news company that abuses their power by publishing utter lies such as this, I hope the devs include full out sex scenes for every romance (no revealing anything of course), including one with Grunt and possibly Legion.

Then, I want them to clarify it, and add an option for parents to remove the content, and be like "yeah b1tches, what now? we gave the option for parents to remove the content, so don't come b1tching to us when your kids' innocence gets ruined forever."

Anyway /rage. I just wanted to accurately portray how I cant stand how Bioware got clusterfked in this situation. Oh, and how much I hate Fox News.

The worst part is, I'll never get to put her in her place like I should be able to. I'll never be able to wipe that smug little smirk of her pig face, and unfortunately, I doubt anyone ever will.

Well, with BW being known for their fan service maybe they could add her as a character, with fitting dialog.

The thing that makes me mad is how the sexual content is considered worse than violence. I don't see how sex is worse than violence.

Throwing a fit about sex in a video game is ridiculous.

Check out around 0:35 for a sensible view on how people are uptight about sex in general.

Christianity, pretty much. No, not trying to incite a religious debate, it's just general fact that Christianity imposed a ridiculous amount of uptightness (and overall silliness in terms of perception of the world and common sense) into the human race that's been passed down and passed off as being 'morally correct' throughout the generations.

I agree. There are hundreds of games that are even more violent than Mass Effect and idiots like the ones in FOX news, or the parents that don't bother to look at the games' rating or consult with their kids on whether or not they are mature or old enough to handle it, overreact over a nicely done romance scene.

For example, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Gears of War are some of the bloodiest and most violent games ever and even they are being played by underage kids, and I have yet to see a news report on any of them. Even God of War, a series that is steeped in blood, gore, sex and nudity has yet to get any flak from the news media.

It's the irresponsibility and laziness of the news media and parents for their lack of research and understanding that is the cause of this controversy.  Mass Effect is a series about story, characters, romance, morals and choices, most of it at a mature, yet relatable and immersive level.  It's not a series that would go so low as to be like Grand Theft Auto where you can go on a murderous rampage like a moron and show full nudity like some bad adult movie.

BioWare, don't let idiots like Fox news or misinformed parents get under your skin like the last time.  The romance scenes were very well done and they had feeling and meaning to them, a little partial nudity isn't going to cause the end of the world.  I, as well as many others, really want that sense of intimacy back for the romance scenes of Mass Effect 3.  Good luck with the hard work and continue to impress us with the great games that you guys continue to make.

That one's pretty easy to answer, Alexander: RPGs have always been easy targets for news media idiots because they think weak-willed nerds play them. Just like how Shooters are easy targets just because some crazy nutjob who shot up his school just HAPPENED to own a copy of Doom. Don't worry, the moment some guy goes crazy and hacks up his neighborhood with a cleaver and they found a copy of God of War that his nephew had left behind the sofa, GoW will get yelled at too.

Because they've cowed most game developers from doing it again, so they have no reason to start b*tching because everything's going their way?

Oh yeah I know. It was such an unprofessional bashing I would never expect it from any "credible" (ehem...) news company. I completely agree. I never watch Fox news anymore, I read the newspaper and listen to WCBS. I feel like Bioware was wronged in ME1 and then paid for it in ME2 with a lackluster romance climax.

As I said in my rage post, hopefully Bioware will rebound in full force, and shove their massive proverbial **** down the throats of every news corporation who dares destroy their credibility without presenting sufficient evidence. No but seriously, get their lawyers on it, sue Fox so hard they'll never be able to come back, and make a massive deal about it. Of course this will never happen, but you get my point. Its just plainly ridiculous and insulting that something like this could happen and I hate it.

Sorry I seemed to have gone off on a wild tangent again. My apologies, just something I needed to get off my chest again. I'm normally a much calmer and less intense person.
