Anyone know how to script chests that randomly spawn on an "X" timer on marked waypoints? I just got done looking for one and was unable to locate something. I tried looking for 'randomly spawning chests', 'random spawning chests', 'random chests', 'spawning chests', and all came out with nothing. Any hints or someone able to make one?
I'm thinking the random chest wouldnt be so random in loot, only in placement. I would want to make sure items I dont want in them dont show up. Any ideas? Maybe after "X" time it will despawn and respawn somewhere else? So chests dont stack and lag server. Possible?

It is possible to do all that but I have some questions. Is the amount of time between chest spawning random or do you have a specific time interval in mind? Are the waypoints for the possible spawn location in different areas or different locations in the same area?

There is a lot of different ways to do this. Can you give a bit more what you want?

Sort of on point. I made a treasure map which will guide a player to a treasure chest in an area, based on an int Treasure set to 1 in the area. Each chest in each area will only spawn once for any one single player. So say you had 10 areas so designated. Any player would only be able to recover 10 chests total, and no one in any one area more than once.

Well. A long time ago I played on this really cool server. Gone now, but oh well. Anyway, he had a script that a chest would randomly spawn every 5 minutes--as long as there was no chest on the floor--in a zone in places I'm guessing he had waypoints. He also had a script that made the loot inside somewhat random if I remember correctly, when the chest popped, it would have 1 of 3 items inside. A randomly size stack of gold, 1-3 healing pots or 1 special item that was like a Tresure Token or something like that.
