Hi,

So, I'm having a little trouble figuring something out in the cutscene after you rescue Liara from Therum, this is my second playthrough, and the first time, she read my mind to help me with the cipher, but this time, she doesn't...

Not a big deal, just curious as to why this is? And what pre-requisites I would need in order to have that version of the cutscene?

Not to ask a Captain Obvious question, but the time when she read your mind to work out the cipher, had you gone to Feros before Therum? The time she didn't, had you gone to Therum before Feros?



You get the cipher from what's-her-name, green asari chick on Feros. So if you pick Liara up before Feros, she's not going to read your mind (but she does if she is in your group and you go to Feros).

I always pick up Liara first. (Granted I've only played it through completely once, due to many restarts)



You get the mind reading session once you complete Feros. How do you help someone with the cipher when you don't even have the cipher?

If you went to Feros (Cipher) or Virmire (Beacon) before Therum she will 'read' your mind. Best bet is to pick her up last after doing all the main plot planets. That cut scene/dialogue is SO worth it.

Before I went to Feros before picking up Liara, now it makes sense.

Actually, i think that you have to mention the vision to her for her to the the mind thing, i can remember there being two mindmelds for me at some point. I could be wrong though, only human.
