Today I got Dragon Age Ultimate Edition so that i could get all of the DLC and Awakening in one pack. I Installed the Ultimate Edition over my original Origins with both discs included in the box, registered the game and the DLC code on the back of the Blood Dragon Armor card. I got all of the DLC to work along with all of the campaigns included except for Awakening (the one i was looking forward to most). I open up the Other Campaigns menu and i see no Awakening there. I am unsure if this has been posted anywhere else or if there are any solutions around so I made this topic to see if anyone can give me some advice or point me to another topic with the solution. Please help me.

overinstalling is not a good thing to do ;-)
1. Make a backup of your savegames, if you want to use them later on (\\\\documents\\\\Bioware\\\\dragon age\\\\characters\\\\)
2. Uninstall the game(s)
3. delete the \\\\documents\\\\bioware\\\\dragon age folder
4. reinstall the UE
5 copy the saves back

that should work

I have the original versions of the game, but I can also access Awakening by selecting "New Game".  It gives me the option of loading either Origin or Awakewning.  With the latter, it still gives me the option to import an old character.

Otherwise, there may be some solutions here:

I'll try a few of the threads you suggested for help. I'll post an update on this later after i try reading these two threads. Thanks for the links.

EDIT: ok i tried some of them and they didn't work. I don't know if i did not do them right or if they just didn't work or not. Some of the solutions i didn't understand either or I did not want to risk messing my game up with some of the more complicated ones since i don't really know what i am doing (I am not that great with computers). Anyway thank you for the help anyway it is really appreciated. Please keep any help or suggestions coming everyone.

I haven't had this problem (but almost every other) with the Ultimate edition, and found that disabling UAC and security software while (re)installing seemed to solve them. Remember to enable UAC (if you use it) and security software when you're done (re)installing! :-)

Sorry i tried that and it didn't work D: once again the help is appreciated. I'm just going to buy a copy of Awakenings and install it over and over until it appears on the weekend because that is all i can think of trying right now. Keep the suggestions coming just in case.

Brutal honesty, here:  I don't think that's going to help you.  There's nothing defective with your copy of the game... the problem is that you didn't uninstall the original copy of Origins first.  So now theres some part of the Windows system, probably the registry, which thinks The Ultimate Ediiton is plain, vanilla Origins with no expansion pack.

Some others have experienced this same problem this week, and have had success in fixing it:

If their solution does not work, there are threads on the forum that suggest edits to the Windows Registry that you could try.  Or simpler...  go for the "nuclear option"-- put a clean install of Windows on your computer, fresh driver installs, and then install Ultimate Edition.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose!

I just want to pop in and warn you that you should NOT edit your registry, unless you're 100% certain of what you're doing.

I learned that the hard way a few years ago... :-)

I don't even know how to open or edit this registry. I am not that great with computers at all really so If it is important i probably shouldn't touch it. And I hate to say it but i already tried what was suggested in that link Raen. Thanks for the help anyway.

The reason i wanted to buy Awakening was so that i would not have to keep uninstalling the entire Ultimate Edition and my mods along with it. I thought if i tried installing just Awakening the computer would recognize it as it's own program and work or something... Anyway i still have not gotten around to buying it so I will keep waiting around for help for now.

Mods?  You've modded up the game?  Have you tried it without mods installed to see if Awakening will work?

BobMcBob... in your case, EA tech support is the only way you'll have a chance to recover a lost CD key.  If you registered the game they may be able to help.  http:\\\\help.dragonage.com or support.ea.com.

At this point I couldn't say.  Could you share some specs on your computer, including Windows version?
