If they did learn it tough luck they are dead do you know anyone else who can teach hawke arcane warrior?

"
If they did learn it" There is no if. They knew the spells.

" they are dead"
Yes but they learned it which means they got the info from somebody else and those people may still be alive and it stands to reason they passed their knowledge onto others. The skill may be rare, but that doesn't mean the Warden is the only person who possesses those abilities.

and Hawke still can't be an Arcane Warrior mage, so this post is useless

There are no Arcane Warrior specs in Dragon Age 2.
You can make your Mage be a melee fighter by just increasing Magic, Dex, and Cunning, with a little bit of Str, and relying on some sustains and buffs.. But no Arcane Warrior..

The Warden was pretty much the last person to be Arcane warrior..

Personally, I'd go for rogue...but if I had to pick between the two, I think I would probably go Mage, sword and shield warrior, 2 handed warrior (in that order).  Ultimately, though, the choice is up to you...

Why? They could easily bring it back.

I love my Mage Warden but I don't want my "canon" universe to be using two mages... There can only be one...

and the other gets to be an armor clad warrior badass.

I hope there will be like a warrior-mage class thing going on in DA 2

Actually you can't have arcane warrior cause only the warden knows how to train mages to become one remeber the crystal was the last arcane warrior so storywise it makes alot of sense.

That is crap. Where the darkspawn disciples in Awakening learned that?

No there is one other Arcane Warrior. Remember that guy who drops Spellweaver?

And one in the unofficial provings where the player could get the blood ring.

This is a little late but, I loved the arcane warrior class in the Origins and will be very dissapointed if therre is indeed no way to be one as Hawke. Nothing compares to being able to cast massive area effect spells to weaken your foes then charge into the fray to finish them off in full armour, with you only having to have upgraded magic and willpower, not having to worry about strength. brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

There is none, but it doesn't matter.  Mages are still fun to play as!

Not exactly arcane warriors, but similar... you are talking as if when your a mage you can only where robes and use a staff... have you seen the trailer ?... he practically is an arcane warrior.

Its a CG'ed trailer thats nothing to really base your ideas of the game one. If you want to wear armr you have to put str or dexterity into it, not something thats exactly helpful to a Mage.

... Your forgetting the level cap is 50.. you will have enough points to put into magic, willpower, strength, dexterity.... and therefore in doing so, you will end up with an arcane warrior, if you know what i mean ?

Yeah assuming you buy all the DLC otherwise you will get around level 25 just beating through the main game.

nope, they want DA2 to have stricter classes (translation: less freedom)

No Arcane Warriors. Sorry. They wanted to distinguish the classes more, which I think is a good idea. Rouges and Warriors were too similar in Dragon Age: Origins.

You can make a fake Arcane Warrior if you focus your spells and attributes with that in mind... you most likely won't be OP, but it should at least be... a serviceable build. I'm not really sure how powerful staff attacks can become though, which is why I've avoided this idea.

If you upgrade your magic a lot, it will do a lot of damage.
