Personally, I think it's a load of hooey, but at least I get to continue being a Pisces. (i think.) Good entertainment value, though, like fortune cookies.

That's how I look at it all in good fun.Stanley Woo wrote...
Considering star signs were supposed to be an indicator of personality, saying "hold on, there's a fundamental change happening" means either that they've been wrong up until this point, or it's going to be wrong from this point on.

Have you decided how to pronounce it yet, though? At least the other dozen aren't overly obtuse in that regard...Hayllee wrote...
I'm the new sign, and feel special. Ophiuchus is completely opposite of my personality, though, save for jealousy. I was Sagittarius, though. That at least said I procrastinated and had a lot of potential if I'd just get off my ass (which I guess is a hidden compliment).

I think it's pronounced something like "Orph-ee-uh-kus". I think that's how the guy on the Early Show pronounced it, but I'm not sure.

So apparently there is a new astrological sign called Ophiuchus. However the addition has caused a shift to the already establish calendar. What are your guys' thoughts besides astrology being a load of crap?
By "new" I assume you mean "old". There were originally 13 astrological signs before the rise of Christianity. The Christians were never very fond of the number thirteen, you see. So they chopped it down to twelve. Though ironically, if you count Jesus and the 12 Apostles, you end up with 13. Scandalous!
But yes, Ophiuchus - The Serpent Bearer, is not exactly a new astrological sign.

Are these signs really that big of a deal? All I know is I'm a Leo apparently, but I don't really care about it.
