I wouldn't expect softies like Mary and Sheryl to NOT take it as a bummer.

They don't come off as the "Enjoy Bummerizations" type.

Sadly, it's the former. Companions have fixed appearance. It might change as the game progresses, but it is tied to the timeframe, not the player input.

She has her exaggerated telling of the story outfit, and then her normal chainmail apron outfit for the real story. And maybe later on she'll get a second unique outfit.

To be honest, I preferred ME1 and DAO's, "change your party's armor whenever" style to ME2 and DA2's, "don't you dare touch my breasteses with those man hands" approach to armor/clothing customization.

If it is anything like Mass Effect 2, then the only armor change would be the textures, not actual shape / form / style.

You might want to get prepared to click CANCEL or head to wherever you preordered then, but you should probably wait for confirmation on that first.

Hmm, it's possible. Chances are that we can just let our Hawke naked, tough. But now that they all have different body types, I expect the sex scenes to be better.

Aveline used a leather apron in the start of the game. Then she changed to a nice armor. That's hardly only textures.

It's more than a recoloring. They wear different outfits.

Hmm, it's possible. Chances are that we can just let our Hawke naked, tough. But now that they all have different body types, I expect the sex scenes to be better.

This may have been changed because it was mentioned relatively early, but stripping Hawke naked on the inventory makes him actually go to the "default" clothing (whatever that means), rather than leaving him naked.
And while Lady Hawke pictures are a treat, I still want to see her in movement.
