Just got a link to this article from someone, and thought I should post it here.

Apparently ME3 will release 11/8/11. I seriously hope CoD (which usually releases round that time too) doesn't ruin its launch if the date is indeed accurate.

CoD and ME will almost certainly both be released in the run up to Xmas. Just makes sense dunnit.

I bet the marketing department was staring sadly out the window into the rain after they learned Skyrim was coming out on the 11th.  It's like when chicks wear the same kind of clothes by accident.

Lol...no kidding. And both companies better hope Diablo 3 doesn't come out near the same time. Its all good for us die hard gamers who will likely get all three, but not good for the publishers.

Might end up getting pushed back, like ME2's was. I'm all for an early release date, but I'd rather they spend a long time making a great game then a short time making a good game.

See-Kotor 2, the sith lords. Potential for greatness, but cuts took a lot out of that games storyline. Also quite a few bugs.

The RPG market is very small. Whoever is planning on buying ME3, there's a very high chance that they'll be getting Elder Scrolls as well and vice versa.

Yeah.  I'm sure they know their first three month's sales will be huge... but I bet each one would like a spike to themselves.

I kinda feel the same way but at the same time I'd like for them to continue to make the best game they can with as  polished as possible.

Will buy a copy of Xbox and PS3 version as well as 2 PC copies (one for a good friend since I had to buy him the first two in order for him to play it -> he loves it but hardly buys games) regardless of release date. Hope that evens the score a little

why is everyone so stressed out about mass effect 3's release date? Really think that another that sells better than this one is going to make you like the game any less?

with gears coming out around November as well I wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed back to December or January again because most of the time when a game company says holiday of whatever in this case 2011 it could be Jan. or Feb. or 2012.

as GameStop has apparently revealed that Mass Effect 3 will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on November 8, 2011.
