Placeholder date aside: for one beautiful moment, I thought this meant ME3 was coming out on August 11th. Then I remembered that America puts day and month in a different order... :-( Even so, I still think November sounds a little early. I was expecting December from the "holiday 2011" estimate.

people are very idiotic.
regardless, we are still looking at a Q3 or Q4 release.

I guess we will just have to wait. I hope the new DLC for ME2 is the longest one yet and the best one, so it can hold us over until ME3.

Huh? There's a new COD coming out already? Lol what a bunch of greedy douches.
Bioware if this release date is true, I approve. I can pick it up and play it during Thanksgiving Break, so it wont entirely put my semester to sh*t

Wait, I thought it was "Winter 2011" anyways? Which normally contains the start of the next year as well. The gaming industry is weird like that.

Doesn't really matter to me when it comes out in relation to any other games because well, frankly I could care less about ANYTHING else when new ME stuff comes out. Unless Uncharted 3 comes out around the same time... oh god I think my head would explode if they did.

It's either going to be sometime in November or early December to get in for the holiday rush. My guess is mid/late November... since it's right around when most people start buying presents.

I bet the marketing department was staring sadly out the window into the rain after they learned Skyrim was coming out on the 11th. It's like when chicks wear the same kind of clothes by accident.
Lol...no kidding. And both companies better hope Diablo 3 doesn't come out near the same time. Its all good for us die hard gamers who will likely get all three, but not good for the publishers.
I think Diablo 3 would steamroll both those games, regardless of quality....
anyway, looks like 2011 is gonna go out with a bang.

CoD, Elder Scrolls and Mass Effect in the same week... Halleluya!
In the same week? Yeesh. I wouldn't want to go toe-to-toe with a new Bethesda release.

It's a placeholder date and Chris Priestly confirmed it.
Where did he confirm it?

I don't mind it getting pushed back to January. If I can wait till December, I can wait till January.
In a way it makes sense, not as many games come out right after Christmas. ME2 enjoyed a lot of media coverage last year because it was like the only AAA title that came out in January.

I honestly have no intention of buying another game until I get Mass Effect 3. I'll buy DLC for ME2 though.

I'd be surprised if there is a Call of Duty release with Infinity Ward not making COD anymore. Infinity Ward made every other one, and I don't know if Activision can be that quick.

LoL, people are already talking about the next CoD eventhough the last was just released. Speaks volumes.
