Anyone else worried with the short development time of DA2?

The only thing I'm worried about is the bugs, especially when its going to deal with the save games I'm transferring over into DA2. Like certain plot flags on the decisions I've made not being recognized in the game, or quests being broken, etc.
Bugs is pretty much a given for a game of this scope. Awakening was a walk in the park in regards to bugs compared to something like Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

PC users transfering save files that had mods used in them are probably at the biggest risk.
Of course there is always a risk, but I imagine files from an unmodded game will be fine.

This has probably been posted before, but I actually never really post on the DA forums so I'm not sure. I'm going to pick up DA:O soon so I'm reading up on DA2.
I just realized that DA2 is coming out like...15-16 months after the first one...I mean COD games have longer development time than that
Dragon age 2 was in developement before DA:O was even out.
So in short: NO

THIS and THIS
and no they have not been fixed.
To answer the question of the op. I'd be lying if I say I'm not worried about it. But then again, I don't have as much expectation for DA2 as I did for DAO.

While looking at the online materials, I am assuming that "Dragon Age II" will be the same as the first game. Other words, they will tweak minor game engine elements, but it will not evolve into anything significant.shinobi602 wrote...

Same engine, same franchise, but slightly new features added.

As more information and images are made available, I am also expecting this game to not do anything extraordinary. None of the chracters look interesting.Naitaka wrote...

Yep, I'm worried how DA2 will turn out. I'm still surprised that they are going to release it so early.

Yes no joke. This has been stated by Bioware devs NUMEROUS times, but yet again, it appears no one listens.

The hundreds upon hundreds of dollars I've spent show my devotion.

Also with the bugs problem - I am not worried about that either.
Most games have bugs on release - it is impossible to release a game that is perfect (as evidenced by DAO which had years and years development and still had bugs; or Starcraft 2 which also took years and years to develop and STILL had bugs on release) so to criticise Bioware and their games for that is just unreasonable and idiotic.
I am only speaking from my personal experience but I encountered relatively few bugs with DAO on release (had it preordered) and most problems seemed to be resolved within a few patches; and both ME and ME2 was even better concerning bugs.
I freely admit however that my lack of a bad attitude towards Bioware in terms of bugs in their games might be because I have played Bethesda Games from release and to the person who said that DAO (or was it DAA) was a buggy mess on release I can only say that you need to go play the 1.0 version of Fallout 3.
Now THAT game was a buggy mess on release (so was Morrowind and Oblivion actually) you literally got out of the games opening dungeon "Vault 101" and was literally falling over bugs from that point on within about 2 minutes.
They were so prolific and prevalent and annoying that I actually stopped playing the game until patch 1.2 (or was it 1.3?) and even then I still needed the Unofficial Patches to even play the game. Hell in later patches Bethesda managed to completely break VATs and are yet to actually fix it in F3 lol. And they probably never will because Bethesda barely support their games because they rely on the modding community to do it for them.
And before anyone gets on at me about an anti-bethesda rant - it wasnt. I actually like Bethesda games; I just dont like that Bethesda seem to regard their community as unpaid beta testers. After Fallout 3 I swore id never buy another Bethesda game on release again. I am just goin to wait for the Skyrim GOTY edition.
