Amazon's delivery can sometimes be terrible and not come on release date. I ordered my friends birthday present, paid extra to have it arrive in 2 days time, however instead, another item I ordered arrived first (one week later) and the present arrived 3 weeks late!

I've never had a game that Amazon offered "Release Day Delivery" for not show up on release day. If I paid for that type of delivery, anyway...

And it's for reasons like this that companies should just stop with pre-order bonuses. They cause a lot f aggravation and irritation amongst fans - not only in the difficulty of finding participating retailers, but also incidents like this where pre-orders get cancelled and players miss out, through no fault of theirs.
Better to stick with just new buy bonuses, and forget about pre-order bonuses. Much better for the fans.

There's no way to get the Signature Edition through digital download for consoles, unfortunately.
Hopefully some day PSN and Xbox Live will offer preorders for this sort of thing, for people who want to download the game for their consoles and get preorder bonuses.

You pre-ordered from Play.com in good faith. I don't know if contacting Chris or any of the folks at Bioware will help but it certainly can't hurt. They may not be able to do anything with the retailer, but maybe send them proof of the cancellation and you switch your order to the EA Store they could do something? Just speculating here.

It would be a real wonder if this could be arranged. I have emailed the highly regarded Chris but won't hold much hope of him solving the problem as it's not really his area.
Based on this thread and other enquires i've found no one else that this has happened to. I did ask them if this had happened to others over the phone but they said they could not give out this information. I will keep on as i find their story a bit suspect. Unless they have genuinely under ordered by one copy.

The only thing I can think of is that they had a lot of pre-orders for the X-Box version of DA2 SE and have not got around to updating what was ordered by customers in comparison to what they were getting in stock at March.
They really should sent you a e-mail eariler so that you could of ordered some other store.
Also my PC DA2 SE pre-order that I ordered months ago has not been changed at least so far...

Me I have the opposite problem. I preordered in store at Gamestop, and when I go check on their Power Up Rewards site, it shows under my preorders that I have 3 copies preordered lmao. Very odd glitch.
