Sh*t Gamestop had no stock and cancelled. Now I'm worried. I've only been hearing that play.com have been doing this.

Those people who wanted the free stuff in the sig edition will be there on day one paying $$$ for DLC just like EA planned all along while everyone is blaming the retailier.

This is why I loathe DLC. If it was like SqareEnix did with limited edition figures etc. I'd totally understand you can't just make more. But the difference between sig and normal is just some codes and a different sleeve cover.

If EA want to prove me wrong offer the sig DLC free on day 1. I'll gladly appologise if they do.

This is kind of true. The retailers do get the message that theirs no stock and EA is the kind of company that advertise special things and then just end up getting tricked and ending up paying for dlc. The best part of their plan is that it makes the retailers look bad

Oh god, I preordered mine from Gamestop... I don't think they have my email but they have my phone number cuz I orded it from an actual store, not online...

Man, I hope my order comes it! If it doesn't, I'm sure they'd refund what I put down for the preorder but that's not really the point. I preordered for the susposudly $20 worth of free content and the dlc items that I will not be able to get else where!

Absolutely no one in the whole chain form BioWare to EA to suppliers to retailers can escape blame or shuffle the blame off on this type of thing.  You do NOT take preorders on the promise that special bonus content is included if you may not or do not have the stock.  This was a highly promoted offer, many many people preordered when they normally wouldn't.

I preordered mine on Oct 16th from Amazon... and so far so good... but for some reason I did not get a choice for release date shipping and I still can not switch it to release date shipping. Even though a guy I work with and tons of other people I've talked to have release date shipping.

PLAY should be fixing the problem, it was a misguided employee thinking "sold out" meant they could not fulfill the preorders and canceling them left and right... it SHOULD be fixed, but you might contact them to be sure that your order is reinstated.

As for Gamestop, I called and asked my Gamestop, and he assured me that I will be getting the SE and that everyone that ordered from Gamestop should also.

EA is not trying to screw you, the issue with Play.com was proven a Play.com problem by two very dogged forumites who managed to contact the CEO of Play and get things straighened out.

Yes, I called my local GS last night and was told the same thing. I plan on being there for their midnight release on Monday night so I guess I will find out then for sure.

There are enough Signature Editions for all orders placed within the promotional time period. Any falure to distribute is on the part of the retailer. Please address you concerns with them.
