Very adorable ... if only you could teach her the accent ... and train her to be a bard. (at least the story telling, musical kind ... though it might be useful to have a trained killer in the family)

It's a good name for a child - it sounds normal enough, unlike some other video game character names.

Anyway, congrats ^_^

That's an awesome name! I think children set their accents around 4 years of age, so if you move to France and raise her there, she might develop an Orlais accent. Congratulations again.

Better raise your kid right or else shell grow up to be a murderer, spy, and want to join random people on a quest to defeat evil.

Congrats but you are aware you cursed your daughter to become a promiscuous murdering spy who will seek to atone later in life by joining the Catholic Church and then joining a resistance group to save the world from a demonic dragon.

Congratulations on the child. Will you ever be telling her where her name came from?

Hmm well congratulations...but am I the only one here who thinks naming their child after a video-game character is a bad idea ?

We thought Leliana was a beautiful name for a baby girl. Robin Williams named his daughter Zelda...:D

True, after the princess. But the princess is named after a writer, Zelda Fitzgerald.

Also true. But Bioware didn't invent the name Leliana either, so I don't really see the difference.

I'm not finding anything that says the name is real. Liliana comes close, but Leliana is only on one site, and it has no meaning or etymology, and it's conceivable a fan added it.

In Quebec, it's an old name. Not very used anymore, but still :)

When did you guys meet? This is very interesting, but babies have been named for movie characters and more, so this might not be all that uncommon.

For some reason I really like the name Loghain. I wouldn't name my kid it myself, but it's pretty awesome.

But, congrats :)
