Last month in December before the New Year, my wife and I were blessed with a baby girl. With the release of Dragon Age II on the horizon and considering the fact we met each other at the BioWare E3 booth, we decided to name our baby Leliana after everyone's favorite bard. So I decided to post this to see if anybody else has had there life changed or improved thanks to Dragon Age. Once again, thank you BioWare!
Well, after playing Dragon Age I learned to appreciate the Baldur's Gate games more. Leliana? Well, at least you didn't name her Sephiroth.

What am I talking about, you named your daughter after a character in a computer game. Dear god.

Hmm well congratulations...but am I the only one here who thinks naming their child after a video-game character is a bad idea ?
What, you think that the name Leliana never existed before Dragon Age?
I mean, yes, they named her after the character, but anyone who didn't play Dragon Age would just think of it as a pretty name.
Anyways, I think it's a great name!

Alright... that said, hope the baby is doing well, and it's a beautiful name. Congrats!

To be honest, it's nice to be named after something with cultural significance. My mother is called Griselda after the character from Canterbury Tales. I'm toying with a few nerdy names for my kids; really keen on names from the Poldark books like Demelza (or something a little more common like Ross or Ginny), and I'm still keen on some Final Fantasy names such as Selphie and Vincent.
If I have a girl though, I'm quite stuck on Liara Wynne...
