Hello DAO Forum.

I am rolling in a 2 mage, 1 warrior, 1 rogue party. (Me = DW Rogue, Warrior = Alistair, and mages are Wynne and Morrigan)
I thought this would be one of the better parties as I had 2 healers, and I was kinda right. I walked through the first 14 levels and I almost never had to load a game. Now, at level 14, I gave both of my mages the Arcane Warrior specialization, for better survivability. Problem is that my mages just die and die and die and die, whereas they should be alot stronger. They only have 30% fatigue as I use medium and heavy armor and they both still have their staffs. I tried putting their robes back on, but still, nothing changes. It would be kinda cool if anyone could explain me why my mages became so super squishy after making them an arcane warrior.
Thanks in advance,

Stylow.

The heavier armor a character has, the more aggro it's going generate. AW will not help you in itself, but couple AW's sustainable abilities with other defensive sustainables and you got a powerhouse. By level 7 my AW could take more damage then a S&S Warrior, at level 10 he didn't need heals in 90% of the fights. On Nightmare.

AW is a good spec but it is not a set and forget shield against whatever comes your way i.e. take a good look at and/ or change your tactics!

What kind of damage are they taking?

melee = have Alistair do less DPS and more tanking.

Range damage = invest in some crowd control spells.

Stylow.

They need rock armor at least in combination shimmering shield. And then, with robes with t 10 points armor, they died far less then alistair in massive armor. Heal spells dont cost much mana,so you could run combat magic too and give them melee weapons.

What made them "squishy" is the attention they attract for wearing such heavy armors

Personally I believe the problem may be more related to Mana Regeneration rather than agro. Wearing armor is fine, but offsetting the increased fatigue with items that will aid in reducing this PLUS help in regaining Mana is advisable.

Agro and other MMO concerns are largly ignored in my play, and rarely seem to appear in my games.
