Can't use ship upgrades!

This has been bugging me a lot, as it means that I lose two teammates before I even get to the Collector Station.

When I ask a teammate about upgrades any time during the game, the research screen will show up but the ship enhancement tab is greyed out. If I look at the the upgrade panel in the Tech Lab though, it says that I already have the ship upgrades, but they don't work in the final mission at all.

I thought this could have something to do with my Coalesced mods, yet no difference is made when I replace the modded file with the original. I suspecting then there is something in the save file that is borking the game, nothing that I've been able to discover with Gibbed though.

If anyone has any ideas at all on what to do, I would really appreciate it! :innocent:

You could use Gibbed's SaveGameEditor to revive those team mates in the first savegame available after entering the Collector station. But yeah, sounds like a strange bug. I could only suggest to play a new career with cleanly re-installed game. But that takes time...

Thanks Bravenu3, I was mulling over doing that Gibbed method before, will probably try it out. The stange thing though is that my brother who is playing ME2 at the same time as me, on the same computer with the same mods installed, is having absolutely no problem with this. :/

Then it seems to be some nasty glitch in your career. Does your brother use a different Windows account, maybe even a different installation?

It's the same installation. He's playing on a different user, which means that my save games aren't visible to him. I haven't tried the Gibbed option yet, but when I do I'll post my results up here.
