First let us consider that their great grandfather and mother was an Asari commando and a krogan veteran, both nearly a millenium old, and both of them noteworthy badasses

next up we have the single most awesome asari in the game. And the most badass bartender of all time, matriarch aethyta,  as the grandfather, and Matriarch Benezia as the grandmother.

And to top it off we have the parents, Liara, a paragade badass in her own right and FREAKING COMMANDER SHEPARD (my version is a femshep which would somehow make it that much more badass).

See this family line has produced such a line of badasses and they seem to get badder by each generation. Next logical step is that they take over the galaxy and RULE IT WITH A COBALT BLUE IRON FIST.

I think they'll rock it but not roll it.

That does sound cool. Never really thought about the family history before.

Then in my case galaxy is doomed, because no cobalt blue rulers will be available

Well, one wonders if the galaxy will be more doomed with them than without.

Asari: Reliance upon alien species for reproduction shows genetic weakness.

Any supposed "weakness" would be corrected by shepard's sheer awesomeness,

Funny how they say its a weakness, but the reapers themselves rely on other species (all organics) to reproduce. HA.

Indeed. Also:

Asari: Embrace Eternity!

Harbinger: Embrace Perfection!

Coincidence? I think not.

Ok so we throw some reaper geneaology into the mix as well. These kids just keep getting better.

Good genes are important, but not everything. Otherwise, Miranda would have kicked Shepard's ****.

You think her father is terribly good genetic stock?

Miranda was designed to reach some sort of "perfection". like a an aston martin, good looking plenty of nifty features, and ultimatly the proof that you are compensating for something .

the kids will resemble something more akin to a main battle tank. Well proven sturdy and deadly, and with the right training, able to kill just about everything.

Eh, can't see it and there are plenty of other [insert squadmates] and Shepard's kids who could run the Galaxy, but the kids probably wouldn't wanna run the galaxy beause that's too much pressure and stress.

God forgive me, but I agree with OP's point 100%.

The (literally) blue-blooded Shepard dynasty shall reign the galaxy forever.

This is the only logical outcome.

Oh man, dynasty implies several generations. Wonder what the dynasty will be called though. The old ones on earth had awesome names like habsburg or bourbon. We neeed something similar

Oh yeah, it'd be like the House of Atreus, famous for its descendents, the Atreides that lead the Trojan War.  Their family history is tied to ancient mythology involving the Greek gods and extends to the far future of Dune.

With Shepard as the presumptive saviour of the galaxy against the Reapers, his/her story will become the stuff of legend over time...possibly even fanned by Liara's ability to propogate propaganda as the Shadow Broker.

Over the millenia, the Sheparians or Shepardliarans (that's what I'm calling Shepard's/Liara's descendants now) slowly became the basis of a new religion, like how the Protheans became the Enkindlers to the Hanar.

Their Asari descendants are the Biotic priestesses of the Shepard Cult, lead by High Matriarch with fanciful title like "the Shepherd of the Shepard".  They become the god-queens that rule the galaxy.

And how about this, over time the Sheparlians broke off into 2 schisms internally.  The Order of Shepard's Sword firmly believe in military dominance of all races, whereas the Liaran Orthodoxy seek to guide them via education and enlightenment.  Although seemingly united to the outside, they are divided internally, branding each other as heretics.

Aw man, it's like we skipped ME3, going straight to ME30000, or Mass Effect in the year 30,000 CE.  Crazy.

Insert plot device about Shepard having greatly extended lifespan due to Cerberus modifications.
