If I was going to keep it, I would keep it for myself and use it as a secret bat cave but since TIM knows about it I figure he wont let me stay and potentially screw me if I stay ther.e

Thus... destroyed it.

Outside of ME2's railroad choice. The fun option would be to use TIM's idea...
1) Purge the base of collectors
2) Fly back
3) Loot the place of anything that isnt tied down I,E Collector Assualt Rifles etc
4) Bomb the place
5) Be happy in the knowledge you now have a ton of toys to play with
6) Give a double FU to TIM by making him think he had the base then blowing it up in his face

I destroyed it not as an ''f-u'' to Timmy. That's just juvenile. I didn't destroy it because I didn't want Timmy to build his own baby Reaper, and dominate alien life in the galaxy. I thought back on all the various projects that Timmy and his boys have been involved in the past, from ME1 and the derelict Reaper and Overlord. All of which had become giant cluster ****s that either by the grace of God or random dumb luck hadn't completely hit the fan and caused a ton of problems for the rest of the galaxy - although they came close with the listening post and the rogue rachni. I couldn't see Timmy and his boys being able to handle the tech in the Collector base safely and proffesionally. They're grossly incompetent employees with a ****** poor supervisor in Timmy. I reckoned that if they had the actual base they'd make a giant cluster **** of it all and on top of the Reaper meance Shepard have to deal with those ****tards on the CB. I made this choice without prior knowledge of ME3.

If I had the option I would've given the CB to Timmy and his boys, and then shut down the Omega-4 relay so they could never come back.

Its the collector base. EDI was able to scan the place... doubt it was simply from the normandy scanners. NO fudging way the normandy was able to scan something hundreds of times bigger than itself which is ment to be protected from black holes. AKA she hacked into their net... more or less as the collector ship but less friendly.

After the game was over and I blew up the base joker gave me a data pad with info on the reapers... aka EDI downloaded anything and everything she should from their databases. My hunch prooved right so no need to keep the base. Any information on the base was acquired by EDI.

An interesting point. This could be true.

I play Renegade, true Renegade means trust no one, so I always destroy it, I recall Cerberus during ME1, having to go destroy all their projects that blew up in their faces, face it, I was one of their projects, and I didn't work out the way they wanted, their record really speaks out don't it. LMAO:devil:

i keep the collector base because I believe that if you want to beat the reapers you must become reaper yourself. I want to use the base's facilities to turn myself into reaper.
Of course i'll try to not sacrifice good guys, I'll capture husks, baddies like blue suns eclipse blood pack mercs, the hostile mechs, monsters like tresher maws, they are all bad guys so it's okay to sacrifice them to make me reaper.

that was a joke

Anyway, my real reason? Simple: everyone else's insistence that reaper don't exist , simply makes me want to preserve any kind of evidence about reapers .
As to giving it to Cerberus? Well Cerberus' the only ones who believe my tale about reapers at this point, so I'd consider it a gift to them. The other alien species may feel pissed off? Well too bad they didn't believe me then eh? Yeah screw them.

I kept it intact in the first time I played ME2, but since I sort of of decided I wouldn't do that anymore and will just blow the damn thing up. Mainly as a flipping off of Cerberus. They may have saved my life, but that doesn't make their leadership and the Illusive Man less evil.
