Who's with me? Revan...he single handedly prepared the galaxy for war. He superceded the Jedi vs. Sith quarrels...undoubtedly bringing balance to the force with the invention of the Rule of Two, while yet strenghening the Jedi Order through his legacy of triumph against Malak. Revan is someone who cares not for power or famedom, he even says, "Who I am is not important...my message is."

Revan is truly the greates role model/ hero our generation will ever see.

He was a Jedi who got delusions of grandeur, and because of his hubris fell to the Dark Side.

Whoa my friend, you obviously did NOT read the full story about Revan...

If he didn't intervene with The Mandalorians, then all would be lost...

Yes, he fell to the Dark side, but, he realized that he had to remain level-headed with his goal, and that was preparing the Galaxy for the lurking SITH (True Sith) threat. He superceded the trivial Jedi vs. Sith conflict, but helped out in his own ways. If you read the Darth Bane books, revan's holocron had taught Bane to establish the rule of two, which would undoubtedly create balance in the force by maintaining the Sith for years to come. Revan was so much more than you know.

Basically, there was no fall...he took on a necessary persona in order to convince the Republic to knock off their stupidity and band together to fight.

Inspiring? Sure. Can't agree that he's the greatest character ever though. Revan is built to be so great that the whole ToR universe revolves around him. His greatness seems way too forced onto the player and excluding one situation (which was out of his control anyway) he really doesn't have any flaws. Throughout the second game it still seems to be all about him.

That's my opinion anyway.

TOR lore destroys the image that many have of the Revan established in KOTOR.

When Revan & Malak went into the Unknown Regions, they came upon the Sith Empire, were brought before the Sith Emperor... and were turned into his loyal lapdogs. They were ordered to find the Star Force, use it to build a fleet and to return to the Republic with the orders of wreaking havoc to prepare for the eventual attack of the True Sith. Hence the Jedi Civil War.

Just because he was ordered by the Emperor to cripple the Republic for the True Sith Empire, doesn't mean he followed through on it. Therefore, the KOTOR 1-2 outcome that Revan intentionally left the Republic intact in order to be rebuilt stronger, is still possible. (edit:grammar, twice)

It would be messed up if they had you run into a ghost of Revan *just like happened with Ajunta Paul* and then you had a conversation of text...

without any actual talking(if they kept Revan not having a voice like in the games and had the character in ToR not speak stuff for you to hear either)

That was based on the knowledge of the Jedi, knowledge that was limited since I doubt Revan had time for an interview before leaving again. It is very possible that Revan pretended to be the Emperors lapdog and instead chose to work as a double agent. In either case, all will be explained in his new book.

From recent leaks I read about Revan from TOR, I am not happy. Won't be getting TOR anymore

Makes ALOT of sense. Revan went to see the emperor...saw his power, the threat, and decided to use the Star Forge to either prepare a new republic, or form a stronger one, his new sith empire. Either way, Revan was NOT interested in the ancient Emperor's plan. Why do you think he decided to go back tot eh Unknown regions...? To finish what he started. Revan stared at the face of evil and manipulation, and conquered it, returning to known space, only to shatter his image, sacrificing himself for the greater good of the Republic. They don't make em like him anymore...

I think Revan is one of the greatest characters of all time and especially considering nobody expected the plot twist involving Revan (I know I did not)

i do feel that Revan was determined to protect the greater good from the mandalorians but in the process of trying to save the galaxy he became the very thing he swore to fight against... a SIth.

One thing the character did do was pave the way for the modern generation in my opinion of RPG characters considering he or she influenced commander Shepard and the entire mass effect series which is held in extremely high regard and that game has changed the face of RPG's completely (some say for the worse but my opinion for the better)

Revan is by far, MY favorite character ever. It is a shame that Kotor (w/Revan) could not have continued through the second game......and a third Posted Image.
That still bugs me after all these years.
