Yeah "good idea, bad implementation" - yeah that's probs about it.Spartas Husky wrote...
Well we agree mostly on Kelly. Maybe I just agree out of personal experience. Now on Jack we do not agree. Unfortunately, I have witnessed what happens to kids who are tortured since little... and I tell you jack is definitely not in character. Children who are subjected to torture for long periods of time do not remain sane... or even able to be in groups.JohnnyBeGood2 wrote...
I preface my response by saying that I'm generally pleased and in agreement with ME2 characterisations: Kasumi, Samara, Jack, Miranda, yep I get those.Spartas Husky wrote...

I have to admit... the whole "Kelly in the stripper outfit" baffles me everytime.
I admit I am simply surprised to find (And have not yet found) a "raving stripper" behind a psych......
.......it's just that someone who was a counsellor ot psychologist by profession would usually be able to intergrate that experssion in a more concurrent and direct way.
When it came to Jack at first I thought she was just a punk with a bad past... but when I realized what Cerberus did to her in Pragia... her character fell apart for me. One of the reasons I did not romance her... sci fi and all she is just far to imaginary.
Now back on the topic of Kelly. Her character could have been worked up a bit more I dont argue with that. The underlying idea though is good. Now to be honest would have enjoyed something else rather than a striptease... that was an extreme.
Stil like many things the new Bioware has done... good idea, bad implementation.

not sure why people are surprised kelly would strip for you. if a chick is really into you and she's not some prude, it can happen for sure.

Yeah I've heard of models and strippers doing it, not so much psych grads / counsellors who were usually engaged in the operations of their own minds aswell as others... but yeah... it's not a biggie. as someone said above: good idea, probably bad implementation.HappyHappyJoyJoy wrote...

I've never experienced her romance, though.

As a psychotherapist myself, and one who thus works with many others, I can tell you that you would be surprised.
I have said many times that if clients knew anything about their therapists, they probably would not go see them.

Right... I have this friend you know that has a video game problem...
In all seriousness (as the above wasn't intended as an insult) I find your story both fascinating and strangely satisfying.
It reaffirms my belief that all therapists have problems themselves. I mean, to go through all that medical training only to beat your head against personalities that refuse to change must take a special kind of crazy.
I'm of the belief that a person helps themselves and in my experience the most good a therapist has ever done for me is to make me realize that fact by their ineptitude.
Again, none of which is meant as an insult to you.

Yeah, I won't deny you could be right. However, as my original post said: "any psych or counsellor worth their salt". And I stand by that comment. Thus, if indeed that's actually a pretty accurate depiction of the American psych(iatrists/ologists) industry then ok.Melindil wrote...
