up to this point its pretty much been established That Mass Effect Fits Into The Science Fiction Fantasy genre. what bugs me is that they really tend to only do science fiction... but no fantasy lol, so i think the game needs more of the fantasy elements. it makes sense really

we need to see the force from star wars in some form, we need spells and dragons. this is what fantasy is, so i don't see why it isnt in the game, we believe reapers can exist so there is no reason to say magic isnt real heh

this is what i believe

It is classic space opera, not science fiction fantasy. The only thing ME is missing from classic space opera is a race of psychics that possess interstellar telepathy and telekinesis.

Biotics is magic in the future. We have giant machines, there isn't any need for dragons. That's pretty much fantasy right there...everything about could be considered fantasy.

Look up 75% of the topics created by kingcopper1. Nothing else has to be said. In that regard, yes, I do have trolls in my mass effect.

I miss the good old days...

...when the trolls around here were actually funny and at least tried to hide the fact that they were trolls.

Where's that LotoR kid I got banned when we need him?!

I think Mass Effect has pretty much stuck to a strict role in Space Opera genre. Everything, including the science has been devoted to the same material.

Bringing in spiritual elements that conflict or go against that science would kinda ruin it. For me there are two ways to go about future tech and the fantasy future. Realistic setting, where all life is relevant to the present (Mass Effect, Firefly, Halo, etc.) and Fantasy setting, where it is so far distant, life as we know it is irrelevant (Warhammer 40k, Shrapnel, Final Fantasy, etc.)
