In all seriousness I hope they don't. Not because I'm an atheist, but because it isn't in line with the story. It would seem to come completely out of left field and screw up the whole series IMO. If they wanted to go that route, they should've been planting seeds along the way.



I wouldn't object on the grounds that I'm of a different belief (or lack of), just that it doesn't fit with the games as they've been presented so far. JMO though!

I hope not. Look at the travesty that was the last half-season of (the new) Battle Star Galactica. They tried something similar then. And the show had such potential... sigh. But then again, I'm a sci-fi / fantasy genre purist.

Whoa whoa whoa... let's not bash the greatest sci fi TV show of all time please. What happend in the end was hinted at throughout the ENTIRE series.

It was hinted at insofar as there were religious convictions on the part of individuals. The visions were a bit much, but anything that happened in the early seasons could be explained by luck (or by some characters being cylons, who ended up not being). They really started laying it on heavy in the last half season, and pretty much came out of left field swinging the hammer of un-subtlely.  Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the show. I just try to ignore some of the more non-sensical/completely outrageous portions.

But I suppose that's neither here nor there.

The ending to BSG was horrible, absolutely horrible. That said the series sucked quite a bit from New Caprica onwards, so I'm glad I stopped watching regularly then.
