The scientist you meet on Eden Prime says "thank the Maker" when you first initiate conversation.
Does Ashley in her conversations regarding religion specify which religion she follows, or just that she's a believer? I'm wondering if Bioware created a religion for their universe?
I'm sure someone has better knowledge than me on that - clarification would be nice

Avilla, if you read the Codex I believe it mentions that all the religions we have now are still going, though their influence has decreased.

Ashley doesn't have to be Christian. All we know is she has a belief in God.

Ah, the Codex, yes. I'm such a bad RPG'er - I should boot up a completed save and just read all the entries. I get distracted otherwise.
And thanks  . I am still curious about the scientist's remark though. Unless her faith replaces the term 'god' with 'maker'. Hmm..

There are two things soldiers find on the battlefield: God or cover. I'm sure Shepard will go with cover.
He praises the Biotic God!

C-3PO says "Thank the maker" several times, does that mean he's religious too?
"Thank the maker" was used by numerous factions in Babylon 5 also, where it served as a generic deity, not tied to specific religions. Also keep in mind that using a phrase like that doesn't necessarily imply that the person is religious - "god damn it" is a common phrase, even amongst the irreligious and atheistic simply because it's a very common English phrase. It once had religious connotations but generally speaking, does not anymore.

Will Jesus ever find Shepard? And will she shoot him in the foot or help him with a side quest to get a store discount?
