Why didn't anyone tell me that Garrus and Tali could dual-wield pistols in ME1?

yo,i dont like this comic idea that much cuz for ps3 user or people that haven't played the game before they dont get to really know the characters how the hell they can pic a LI if they cant develop a relationship... thats what make the game so special no comic can replace that....i hope you guys know what i mean jejejeje
Another excellent point.
If I hadn't played ME1 and relied purely on the comic to create a history for my Shepard, I'd have no reason to pick Ashley over Liara or vice versa beyond pure appearance, as nothing of their personalities is ever touched upon. Therefor, someone might choose Ashley for no other reason than that she's the human LI only to find out in ME3 "Crap, she's a religious-conservative with a penchant for spewing bad poetry" or choose Liara purely because "aliens are hawt" only to realize her speech pattern and mannerisms are like nails on a chalkboard.

There's really unfortunately no way around that as long as MS has the publishing rights to ME1.

For what i have seen the comic is just fast forward play, no explanations are given about anything so how can they hope this will be a bridge to ME2? it will more likely be a a big black hole.

I think they could at least have made it a bit longer, taking the time to expend the context behind each choice.

so if feros cannot be saved does this mean that ps3 players won't get the medical scans quest nor get it with shiala if she survived? Does this also mean that conrad verner was deleted from ps3 me2? WOW sucks to be a ps3 me2 player...
Honestly, I think any PS3 owner who really cared about Mass Effect would've gone out and purchased an Xbox 360 at some point in the last 3 1/2 years, so I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind bringing the series to another platform half-way through.

You could spread the VO and script for Genesis over a ****** and enjoy it with wine.

... Oh look, FemShep never existed. What a shock.
Seriously, it's like Bioware are ashamed of her or something.
The comic plays after you choose Shepard's gender. Hale did her own narration as well.

Yeah you'd have to. Or else every PS3 player who wants to use the comic would be forced to be manshep. I just assumed that the person who made the video just chose manshep.

I said it wrong I guess. I meant they retconned that detail I described. In Genesis, it's that there's mass relays linking to dark space that are controlled by the Citadel, instead of the Citadel being the mass relay linking to dark space.adam_grif wrote...
The Citadel was always a Mass Relay leading to dark space, TSM.
I refuse to accept that this ****ty comic is a retcon.

I understand that, but a good actor can turn a ****ty script into a tolerable experience...
Not that the superior performance would make the flaws within the comic better, but Meer didn't help with his delivery, and I'm not usually one to bash him.

Yeah I like both Hale and Meer just fine and have loved the writing in the two games. This comic just seems poorly done to me like they got somebody else to write it, they left out a lot of key points from the story in ME1 and made light of a lot of important characters.kill_switch_423 wrote...

I'm more surprised that the comic offers exactly zero exposition on Cerberus and, in fact, doesn't even mention their name! That's a HUGE part of ME2, and PS3 players are going to have no idea who they are or why so many people seem to hate and mistrust them (because, frankly, ME2 itself paints them as practically a benevolent peacekeeping organization).

Yes, there is - this comic apparently plays after the player has chosen Shepard's gender (probably class and service history too).
