I believe it's just on the default, and even then there's a version of it that looks exactly the same but doesn't have the blood smear.

No doubt there will be the option to remove the blood mark and to add other tattoos. The Character Creator in DA2 will most likely be much better than what we had in Origins. (I for one will definitely use the blood mark on my character on the first playthrough)
I really wish Bioware would give some information about the new Character Creator, maybe a video demo?

Since we got the char creator for Origins before the game came out, I wonder why we're not getting this one early. There's only 18 days before the game launches in the US, so if they are going to do it they'd better hurry.

18 Days? You must be mistaken! It launches March the 8th not Feb 8th (sorry if I burst your bubble)
I have a sneaky suspicion they may release a Character Creator on Feb 01...but then again that may just be wishful thinking.

I don't think we'll be getting a character creator this time round. I think we only got one in the first place because the PC version was delayed while they worked on porting to the consoles, and they had some of the staff who had finished work on the CC. I hope I'm wrong though.

Yes, that supposedly doesn't include the default appearance presets, though. You can edit your own custom Hawke in such manner.

Have they ever said if we can add the smear to a custom Hawke?

I can't remember such case but it could be simply something i didn't read. Though personally would suspect this may be "special" kind of face texture/tattoo that isn't included in regular selection in character creator, similar how Hawke's default haircut isn't selectactable for custom character, from what we've been told.

It'd be funny if you could changer your gender as well, especially after you've started a romance side quest.

I think i'm think i'm going to get this...when it hits the bargain bin. Lack of character customisation really killed it for me. I want an RPG not an action game being passed off as one...like ME or something.
