 Personally, I like the Mage class for Dragon Age 2.  I was gonna be a Warrior, but after seeing some gameplay and screenshots of the mage class for DA 2, I think I'm gonna be a mage.  Plus, as a mage, you can use melee attacks with a staff blade and use magic!

You can only do simple swing with the staff, nothing like in the CGI trailer. Trailer Hawke fight cross class so he looks cool. And most of the Mage's outfits are simple robes.

Honestly, I think the best class would be 'whatever you enjoy playing the most', and for me...that's a hard battle between rogue and mage. In Origins, I went with rogue more because while I liked playing a mage, I wasn't a big fan of the mage origins, at least not enough to play it more than once. Rogues had the advantage of being usable for many different origins.



Since that won't be a problem with DA2......it's a lot harder to say. I'll probably use rogue first, since I do love me some rogue action, but mage will definately be my second and I'll definately enjoy it.

You need the ninja specialization for that.

I'm gonna have to chime in with mage. I'm looking for a diiferent experience from this game than the first DA, and my main character in that one was a rogue. Warrior classes never reaqlly appeal to me for a main character because I can never get past the whole "Me like to hit things with bigger spikey thing." that seems to go along with those kinds of characters.

You almost make it sound less fun than it is. But you should try the sword and shield warrior then- nothing big and spiky in it that a fully developed dual weilding rogue cannot hold- in both hands mind you.

If we had multiplayer with PvP then this issue of "best" class could be settled.
