For me, it's mage, mage, mage all the way. Rogue is indeed the sexiest class, but there's something about raining fire from the heavens and sundering my enemies from the inside with their own blood that satisfies my inner megalomaniac.

I played DA2 at first as a Mage, but then my computer had to be wiped so lost the save. Just redid the entire complete play of DA:O+Awakening+DLCs so can import into DA2 and just not sure which class to try.
Guess a little bored of Mage because I prefer mage in DA1. However Hawke is a badass as a mage.
But I am really hoping Dragon Age 3 combines DA1 + DA2. Give us the DA2 combat, trees, and skills and combine it with the versatility of DA1.
Or better yet, your main char from DA will be based (somehow) on your character from DA1 + DA2. If you didn't play DA1 or then you get to pick from a standardized char like DA2.

Rogue...in small part because of the item pack DLC. I am in love with Jasmine Cutty's wrap and the Black Fox's jerkin on femHawke. 
That, and I like being able to pick locks and dual wield.

I think magic is most powerful but, it's hard to beat big enemies when all of your group is dead.

I played my first pass as warrior, then Rogue , I love Rogue the best.
Mage is is very fun as well, however it changes the game for me in a way I don't like.

mage is the best crowd control and crowd damage dealer, Rogue is the best Single Boss DPS, Warrior can do both but not perfect.
So basically all classes are good.
