Not really, there are many plotholes along the way as mage and just because you're one it doesn't automatically means that you have to side with the other mages. The biggest plot hole being this one.

Lmfao, i remember getting to that part and i seriously dashboarded the game and deleted my mage and started a warrior.

Another plothole example being when you spec into being a templar then do Act of Mercy. The conversation their also had me facepalm.

On topic i'd say reaver/vanguard/2h/berserker is what my main warrior was if you can actually grind enough to get high enough to get everything you need. I never went full 2h just enough for mighty blow sunder and giants reach. I'm able to play the game on nightmare mode and solo most encounters using barrage-fervor and devour when i need a quick heal.

I haven't checked but i think my auto hits were critting for around 600 damage and mighty was doing well over 1k with around 80% attack speed thats without anders using haste so yeah it's pretty devastating esp considering you get a nasty heal.

I thought I responded to this, but I guess not...

2 Handed Reaver + Templar is the best class, hands down... in terms of both gameplay and story. You take Reaver after killing the first dragon, and Templar when Act 2 starts... at the very least after meeting with Cullen. It's brilliant, and after the first time, I've never done it any other way.

How can you say this when Hawke's status as an apostate is ignored by everyone involved in the storyline?  You cast spells in the middle of town and... nothing happens.  You do it in front of Templars and... nothing happens...  I think the mage playthrough is very lacking, and I'll also say that they were downgraded significantly from the power they wielded in DA:O.

I mean, much of the story involves conflicts between mage and templar, but that's just my opinion.

DA2 best class ( my opinion) Mage and Rogue! Am not playing S&S or 2H warriors.. can't even pass lvl 9 playing as one rofl.

Most dragon age players are really boring and just play Male Human Warrior. This is one of the reasons we ended up with Hawke. The statistics for DA:O were so overwhelmingly in favor of Male Human Warrior it wasn't even a competition. Because most of YOU are boring.

DAO's warrior is a bit boring...I prefer rogues and mages. In DA2 I am playing the 3 classes in parallel, I like the rogues, with 2 handed weapons the most..Mages in DAO are better.

Dual weapon rogue was so much fun for me...probably too much fun. And I loved most of their armor as well.The mage and warrior seemed a little slow for my liking after that, but the mage's spells were pretty fun to use.

Mage for me, love the mage gameplay and Carver was a more interesting character than Bethany.

Also meant I didn't have to drag Anders along in Acts 2 and 3 if I wanted a healing spell handy.
