Mage is the worst class in DA2 because it doesn't matter but it should. I prefer rogue for DA2.

my guess is that he means that it dosent even matter what specilization you choose as a mage because its always the same kind of gameplay.

Which is actually wrong, there are clear distinctions in tactics between damager, controller, debilitator or healer.

I actually like the 2H warrior, which was my least favorite in DAO.

However, I really love Carver, so I rock a mage and then switch to him or Fenris when I want to play up close.

Whoever  at Bioware thought  that DA:O 2H warrior was cool from the start  dud a deservice to the awesome that a 2H warrior  true is.  DA 2 2h Warrior  much much  but I did miss my  duel weilding Warrior they should bring that back.

Mages was another redesign  I like - I am soo sick of the "Oh noes Is a mage and can't fight "  cliche. I like the Mages in DA 2 much better.

The story for Dragon Age 2 is a lot better too if you are a mage.

Mage, even though I found story wise that to have the biggest plot holes this side of the Grand Canyon. That being said, I had the most fun with my mage.

Rogue Archer, with Shadow, Subterfuge, Sabotage talents. Rogue is only class that has the posibility to do solo quests (Companion quest excluded).

I really like the warrior both two hander and/or shield the best.

warrior.definitely warrior.being a mage and rogue is fun as well but for me,the fun comes in when I charge in to the center of the battle and use taunt,followed by scatter,shield bash or holy smite and watch 'em fly :]

Mages is the best for story but in terms of sheer killing power my DW rogue, assassin/duelist with a ton of items to increase attack speed is basically a blender.

With mages I think my learning is that what people likely go for- the fire and lighting trees are actually not nearly as useful as the Entropy and whatever has haste and healing.
