[Well, that's all well and good apart from the simple fact that the main thing you need when introducing someone to something new is detail, that's also paced correctly. Otherwise...all you will achieve is making said person who is new to the main material/story etc (in ME2) confused when they run into references/events that were left out of the preview/backstory.
My take on this is that Bioware thought they could achieve their main objective with the comic (as an introduction to ME) via the comic by using just the main points...however they seem to have kept what they've used to the bare bones which is very annoying in my opinion.
I was actually considering buying a PS3 to sit along side my 360 so I could experience the wonders of ME2 again on a new system, but if I do do this thank f**k I've played both ME1 and 2 several times on the 360 so I can breeze through this frankly lame excuse of an introduction to ME for PS3ers!
I don't see why people are so worked up about this. You already have Mass Effect 1 and PS3 gamers who haven't played it probably won't be as disappointed about the comic.
Be glad BioWare actually took the time to make an introduction to the series, they could've just dropped ME2 on PS3 without it.

ME3 must not have comic like ME2.
Imagine them explaining ME2 in 15 minutes?
You die and are brought back to life for no reason by a terrorist organisation that you hate. Collectors are abducting humans. You hire 12 random people to form a team and dont bother to buy a single explosive device for your mission. All your old friends have misteriously become deaf and dumb( oh yeah, Tali, Garrus, Wrex, Liara and Anderson are totally dumb and deaf). You attack the Collector base and destroythe terminatorHuman Reaper that looks like human metal skeleton that was made by putting humans into a slushee machine. Either give it to Cerberus or blow up the only evidance you ever found in the 3 years of fighting the Reapers.
Did I mention you also go onto a Reaper at one point? No? Thats because it was just a generic mission and had nothing important to do with the plot outside a convient plot device located onboard.
The End.
Cerberus thing, which romance, Legion sold or not, Legion loyalty, Tali loyalty, Mordin loyalty, Overlord, Samara or Morinth, Specter status...
I mean geez, talk about hypocrisy.
I was only doing the important plot related stuff. Stupid stuff like radon team members loyalty had to take a back seat for the super important plot. Its not like choices have really meant anything up to this point anyway. Wrex, Liara, and Anderson all dont give you any help, so I dont understand what you are talking about.
And it wasnt 4 years? ME1 1 year + 2 years dead + ME2 1 year.
Legion's, Tali's and Mordin's loyalty's are very, VERY important.
And it was 3 years, if not less.
Check ME Wiki Timeline, Eden Prime attack was in 2183, Shepard wakes from coma in 2185.

Honestly, what is important about Legion's loyalty mission? The Heretics amount to an estimated 5% of the entire Geth population and you eliminate them in some capacity. What ramifications would this have?
The Geth already knew about that. They will take care of it if you dont help them. They have fleets they can send in to blow the base up, they just lose the element of surprise and have an actual battle instead of a sneak attack.didymos1120 wrote...

Gee, I don't know, maybe it had something to do with preventing a Reaper virus from being deployed against the other 95% of the geth population...who kinda owe you now.
