A Virmire Survivor DLC would make up for it somewhat. But only if it's well written. In other words, don't let the guy who wrote this terrible comic anywhere near it.

It's...serviceable. At times, it's rather less so.
At times it is "acceptable" other times, just plain sloppy. I know a lot of people who do comics for a living. This thing was rushed.

That guy would be Mac Walters, who has been the lead writer for Mass Effect since ME2. Enjoy.AuggyDoggysan wrote...

Anyways I really gotta say this comic is bad. The artwork doesn't look anything like characters for starters, though that's a minor complaint. But why is there like no mention of the Geth? There's also no mention of the Thorian...
Also how the hell is Kaidan a kid? He's 3 years older then Shepard. The comic doesn't even bother to give half-decent summaries of the situations and the dialogue is just awful.
Seriously this is a joke. I had entertained the idea of getting ME2 for the PS3, but after seeing this no way. I think the gameplay is okay from what I tried of the Demo though a locked framerate would have been nice like on the 360. I dunno it's hard for me to recommend this game to friends with a PS3 cause ME2 just isn't the same experience without ME1 IMO.

So question for bioware.
Do you go out of your way to ****** off Ash and Kaidan fans or has it just become second nature after doing it for so long ?
This!

I mean sure Microsoft holds the rights to ME1, but surely they can have some ME1 material in it..
As I noted earlier, they already do: the entire comic soundtrack, Crash site flashbacks, your stereo on the Normandy has ME1 music, many of the codex images and most of the text are the same as in ME1, and the PS3 demo starts with the "Story So Far" vid, the majority of which is ME1 clips. There are a couple other ME1 bits here and there, mostly the photos in various places.

I didn't say it was good.
Besides, the art is the least of my worries about that comic.

They still made it so your character had the hots for Liara, basically making shep a lesbian from the get go. And i seriously did not enjoy the femshep voice over, but i'm a bit bias because i can't stand femsheps voice anyway.

Oddly enough, the art has always been my issue with the comics, going back to Redemption. The art needs to convey just as much as the words, if not more in some cases.Brodyaha wrote...

Besides, the art is the least of my worries about that comic.
For instance, if Kaidan's biotics are an important attribute to the character, why not show him using it in the art itself? And as didymos pointed out awhile back, Shepard is describing a massive ship that looks little more than a tick in the artwork. Why introduce Garrus with just a generic sniper rifle shot? Shepard didn't mention the whole incident with Dr. Michel, but the artwork could have shown us the confrontation. When they introduced Tali, they could have shown the alleyway with a bunch of Saren's dead assassins. Shepard again never tells you how they came across Tali, but the artwork gives you a clue at least.
I despise how comic books are treated as nothing more than basic pretty pictures when they can be a legitimate storytelling device in and of itself. Good artwork should have told us part of Shepard's story even without narration backing it up. As it is, most of the artwork, without the narration, doesn't make much sense. BAD ART. BAD!
And had it been good art, it might have addressed some people's concerns about the content.

Not that that's a difficult achievement. For myself, I think they're both terrible. Asking me to pick my favorite would be like asking me which pile of crap I think smells better.

This analogy implies that you think the comic is fundamentally flawed. I don't think so; it just could have been done better is all.didymos1120 wrote...
