So question for bioware.

Do you go out of your way to ****** off Ash and Kaidan fans or has it just become second nature after doing it for so long ?

I can't help but agree with you.

so i will feel stupid asking this, but in the new mini comic, are kaidan and Ashley even able to be romanced?

I have tried looking at past posts, but all i have heard is that Liara is the focus.

Haven't seen a video in which Kaidan is chosen, but I am looking for one. I imagine it's the same situation as Ashley, though: a small image towards the back of the panel. I find this particularly peculiar given that Ashley and Kaidan get larger images in the foreground of the panel if you choose no love interest (as I posted on the bottom of the last page).

I'm not a huge fan of Ashley or Kaidan, but the shaft that those two characters seem to constantly get is just ridiculous.

Truth.

Just goes to show that we aren't being unreasonable when fans of the game WHO DON'T REALLY LIKE the characters are saying it's ridiculous.

this.

i realize it's got to be relatively easy to annoy a rabid fan of ANY character. you can't give everyone exactly what they want, blah, blah, blah.

but really, for the love of asari bachelor parties, is it possible to marginalize those two characters any more? BW created two of the most nuanced, realistic characters i've ever seen in any story ever, gave you a hugely dramatic decision point about them, and then...just sort of punted them to a corner. i suppose the next step is to kill them off for no apparent reason or...sh*t. shouldn't give bw ideas...

I'm slightly disappointed by the lack of choices in the comic. For example, there's no attempt to allow players to make a choice related to the "Bring Down the Sky" DLC; Kate Bowman is reported as being dead on the news.

Instead of being greeted by the green Asari on Illium, Shiala from Feros, it's a colonist, which I take it to mean that Shiala dies for all PS3 players.

Helena Blake doesn't turn up as a social worker in Omega, again implying that she was killed by the player in Mass Effect.

It's always Liara warning Shepard at the start of ME2 when the Normandy is under attack on the PS3. In other versions, this is determined by your decisions in the first game.

And I'm sure there are lots of other little choices like this, where the code remains in the game, but PS3 players will never experience simply because the interactive back story comic is too limited.
It's a shame really; I was hoping for a little more granularity and freedom to experiment with different types of Shepard, but I'm guessing we're being limited to choices that will affect Mass Effect 3.

Hell, I'd pay for a more detailed version, and even better, I'd buy it for the other platforms as well as the PS3 so that I didn't have to do multiple play-throughs of Mass Effect 1 just to get the wide range of characters I'd like to experience the story with. To be able to generate pure Paragon or pure Renegade Shepards of either sex is just the beginning; I'd love to play with all the potential variations of the minor Noveria sub-plot involving Administrator Anoleis without having to play through Mass Effect 1 more than I already have, but PS3 players who've never played the first game won't even know about that as the whole of Noveria is just broken down to a decision about sparing or killing the Rachni queen.

Am I correct in my earlier assumption that all this stuff still remains in the PS3 code but there's no way to unlock it?

Reducing the scope of content or carry over in ME2 with the comic is entirely reasonable. There is no way to condense what is a ~20-25 hour game if you look at only content that has dialogue in it into a reasonable introductory comic. At that point you basically have people playing ME1.

The prblem isn't who or what they feature, it's rather things that they get wrong (i.e. the citadel thing).
