"If Kelly is among the crewmates saved from the Collector's base, and if
Shepard currently has no existing romance partners, she will send a
message on the terminal telling Shepard to use the intercom to invite
her up into Captain's Cabin. This will not happen immediately after the
game proper has finished. Take the Normandy to another star system first
and then Shephard will receive a discreet message on their private
terminal from Yeoman Kelly, saying she would like to meet the Commander
privately and will wear something that is not exactly the recommended
ship's uniform."

Ok, so I did all of it and I've just destroyed the collector base.  I ran around in the galaxy a few times doing the only 2 missions I had left, False Positives, and the bugged Ish mission.  Figured that was enough to have her send me an email like the wiki said but I didn't get anything.  So I installed the Normandy Crash site DLC to see if that could trigger the email after completing it but nothing.  Having her feed my fish is a nice perk but I want to have it all!

So how do I get her to dance for me?  Seems like there's something I have'nt done because I'm not getting the email.  Also, I figured I'd romance Tali but she always says she wants to clean the engine and I can't initiate any dialogue with her except the investigation thing I've done 100 times already.  What gives?

You had to flirt with her the whole game, and get her to come to dinner with you. Sometimes you need to do another mission post Suicide Mission for it to trigger, although I never got an email, I just got a button in my apartment to call her up.

Did all that flirting but nothing. She came to my room for dinner and I saved her in the SM too.

Did you flirt with anyone else by chance? I figure this causes the problem.

I didn't talk to anyone on the ship except to trigger their Loyalty Missions. Figured talking to them could potentially cancel the yeoman's visit to my chambers.



Since Kelly wouldn't pay her debt I figured I'd go romance the other females on the ship but none of them will even talk to me. I even went back a dozen saves to try and initiate any romance with anyone but they still won't talk to me. Tali wants to clean engines, Jack doesn't want to talk cuz she's annoyed...I dunno what Miranda's doing nor do I care.



Maybe Romances are just bugged on my current game.

Not that I don't think you're being thorough but did you ask how she was after the suicide mission?

It's a finicky process; constant talking with her, flattering comments after every teammate recruited, keeping her alive then asking how she's doing.

Well, she thanked me for saving her and then she told me I didn't have any new messages.  If there had been any new dialogue option I'd have most likely clicked it, besides investigate and how are things options.

I don't know if you tried this but you need to reload the normandy.. so land somewhere, shop or do a mission and come back. The option to invite kelly should pop up the next time you visit your cabin provided you were nice to her through the game and didnt romance anyone else.

also there might be a plot flag that you can check and uncheck in Gibbeds save editor, sorta force load the option. If you really want it..

You need to check the computer in the captains quarters, the email doesnt show up on the one in the CIC.

kelly didnt send the msg to me until i did one more random N7 mission after the suicide mission.



and ye, dont talk to any one else unless its for loyalty business or ship upgrades.

I think you also need to ask her if she's OK after the SM. Edit: Also, you don't actually have to complete a mission to get Kelly's E-mail. It enough to just leave the Normandy and come back - eg. just take a quick trip to the Shadow Broker's base, if you have that. Or just stop off at one of the hub worlds(Citadel, Illium, etc.)

I actually did it by accident despite staying loyal to Liara, ya I flirted but I just treated her like she some self confidence problems....... and so she would feed my fish.

I've gone to every major plot world at least twice, did 3 missions, even installing DLC to be able to do extra missions, I checked my terminal in my quarters, fed my fishies and looked at my hamster, I'm quite certain I talked about the SM with her and she thanked me for saving her...I didn't have any LI either since I didn't talk to anyone beyond loyalty mission purposes.



I could try to do the SM again.

Kelly's romance is based on a "points system" where every flirt or positive comment adds to the total, and if the total exceeds X amount then you get the romance.

There are also some individual dialogue choices that you must select in order to get her romance.  For instance, you must ask her if she's into aliens, as that is the convo where she tells you that she's bisexual and that passion is what matters.  IIRC this can be done after Garrus, Tali, or Thane's recruitment.  If your Shep is female then I suggest asking her after recruiting Tali, since Garrus and Thane's recruitments offer additional Kelly flirting options that aren't there for Tali.

I also think the dinner is mandatory, as is the post Collector Ship hug.

You have to get a hug from Kelly after you escape the Collector Cruiser or the romance doesn't trigger.

Wow, now that you mention that; I think... somebody has GOT to make a video of Kelly's dances to that song now.

Ok, I know I'm bumping a 1yo thread, but I just replayed the whole thing and I was totally bummed that it wouldn't work for me. Turns out, in addition to everything on the wiki (http://masseffect.wi.../Kelly_Chambers) there is one more thing that will make Kelly not come to your cabin.

During the last mission, after you rescue her and the crew, there's a dialog where they go "So you came to rescue us?". Being renegade I answered "No, This is no rescue mission. Our mission comes first". This, by itself, prevented me from getting kelly's email and her comming into my cabin. I replayed the final mission, nothing else different and this time said something to the effect of "Yes, I came to rescue you", and I got the email and the dancing...

Lapsus is correct. I was making a renegade character to replay with in ME3 and chose that same renegade option on the collector base. No sexy dance. You have to tell her you came quickly to save the crew. None of the wikis I've seen have shown this.
