A more fitting statement would be "Nice job forcing romance in Mass Effect 1". Changing this in the comic would make no sense, since BW would have to patch ME2 to support said choice. Also, since Genesis will be released on the PC/360 it would mean that either they update ME1 and ME2 on said systems to support such a choice, or they release a different version for the PC/360. Basically, it would introduce more problems than it would solve.

BioWare has apparently made a choice in the matter since ME1, there's no reason why they should spend time and energy retconning and patching old games just to include more romance options.

Kaiden is whatever Bioware say he is in the final product. Cut content might as well be considered non-existent. What makes you more correct in the matter than Bioware? That's being kind of arrogant in my book.

Kaidan was going to be a homosexual romance, yes. It was scrapped for unknown reasons, which were probably more down to resources and time limits than anything. But the devs did leave the lines in there. Why? To allow the gamers to mod it so if they really wanted a romance with Kaidan on their sheploo, they could have it.



If the heads of Bioware were really that homophobic, they would have demanded the lines be removed from the game so no one knew it were possible.

Ever thought about the fact that nobody on the Normandy might be homosexual? In other words, you being the only gay? If that were so, you CAN'T force the others to be gay as well. Spoiler: That's how it works in real life as well.

If you like relationships so much, go play Second Life or the Sims. The game is about Shepard shooting aliens, not how many people he/she can bang.

I'm not a troll, maybe you need to go through the whole thread, re-read it, watch the video again. Don't insult my intelligence. The comic clearly depicts shepard as a heterosexaul horn dog drooling over the Asari, his reaction should have been neutral. Or be single was no real option because if you actaully played the game you would know to get at that point you would have had to be romancing both of them, which would clearly depict shepard being heterosexual, it should have been neutral. Therefore shepard would have been interested in them, and by saying the mission is too important just meant that the mission was too important...but when its over then we can talk.

The dialogue and animations exist, no question.  What no one seems to be able to agree on is whether they ever intended same-sex romance in the first place.

The fact is they might not ee it as something broken, things get cut in development for many reasons, and we can't know the real ones here (and as others ahve said, it's not somethign thatwould be put into a comic that is just a recap).

Eh, the comic doesn't introduce anything in a good way, as far as I'm concerned.
