I'm writing a fan fiction and I need to know how turian ship names work. Right now I don't know anything. Humans use Mountains, Battles, and Cities i believe, depending on what class it is.

I want to know if there is a similar structure to Turian ship names and if not, I would like some of the known ship names to try and make up a few names that make sense.

Thanks in advance.

Here's what I could find about turian ships, I don't know if it'll help, it's not exactly what you asked for, but maybe it'll help you make some up? Good question!

According to The Art of Mass Effect, turian ships incorporated layers of plates to roughly symbolize the feathered appearance of the turians themselves.

Turian names, culture, and military doctrine also mirror that of the Roman Empire.

Their fleet is also allotted the single largest number of dreadnoughts by the Treaty of Farixen, having 37 as of 2183 and 39 as of 2185, as a point to their fleet's service as galactic peacekeepers and position as the primary military arm of the Council.

Many of the names of turian colonies appear to have a connection to Roman colonies/conquered regions so using something Roman might not be amiss.

For giggles, I looked for information about ancient Roman ship-naming techniques...to no avail. I also couldn't find any specific turian ship names. Sorry!

The only Turian Ship I know of is the Varacan.

Its a frigate and Zaeed in one of his stories describes how he destroys it

There is the Kara mentioned in Kasumi's heist. That was said to be like a Turian Titanic. Only one I can remember. :3

Ok, thanks all. Between roman roots and the two names provided by Crash and Nuala I should be able to fudge a name with similar phonetic leanings.

I knew it would be a hard one to answer and wish there was a Rep system here for those that did.

The Shadow Broker files has a name of a turian ship: Indomitable

You find that in Mordin's files. It's a patrol ship.

Now that's going into Halo territory there. Sounds almost like Truth and Reconciliation to me.

Thanks though for the extra name.
