Hey all, hopefully I am posting this in the right topic
area. I am creating a Dragon Age module for use in a research study. Last year
I used Neverwinter Nights to run an experiment in the lab at my university
and it worked splendidly. So far Dragon Age is even better and I am really
excited by the opportunities it presents.

One particular thing that I would like to do is after a certain point in
the game have the player answer a battery of survey questions. In order to do
this the participant must alt-tab out of dragon age and select the hyperlink
for the survey related to the current condition they are in from the desktop.
Since order of presentation is a manipulation in the study we have 8 different
surveys that the participant must answer. If the participant gets confused and
selects the wrong one then we have a serious problem with our data.

In order to make this process more straightforward I was wondering if it
is possible to create a hyperlink in an NPC conversation that the player can
select and that will automatically take them to the survey website. I know that
it is possible to link out through the journal - when you try and purchase more
points for DLC it takes you to the website from within dragon age. So I was
wondering is there a script I could write that would take my participant out to
the URL of the survey.

Thanks for your help and cheers!

No i think this is not possible.

You should display a password that lets the user access to the content you link with that password.

Unless a UI-Modder got an incredible inspiration boost and writes a GUI for that you could do nothing abut linking (or manipulating the UI *looking at the devs* ...)

AFAIK you can't even copy-and-paste a link displayed as text in the game.

You could provide the link in advance, with instructions not to use it until prompted by the game. If you're not happy to do that on trust, you could password-protect the link, revealing the password in the in-game prompt text.
