Is Dragon Age going to do that stupid thing where girl characters are ALWAYS dressed skimpily?

Well, I can see were you're coming from, but sometimes (and I hesitate to compare this game to real life) life gives you inappropriate moments. Then it becomes less about the moment itself, and more about how you conduct yourself during that moment.
I hope that makes sense.
...Not really. Unlike real life I don't get something implemeted by a human being on purpose knowing every detail that would unfold implemented. (I.E. The camera isn't controlled by the player the devs knew it was going to be there and unless they're blind/stupid knew how the scene would look.)
This isn't if I played around with the camera I saw under her skirt or something. This was an unavoidable scene (well if I wanted her loyalty mission information).
Besides how exactly was I supposed to conduct myself? All I did was sigh and shake my head before continuing. I didn't get up and scream.

Pfft. You obviously ripped off that fist shaking movement from the Witcher.
Actually, I think someone in the Wheel of Time did it first.
Snorri Sturluson did it before them in the Prose Edda.

You sigh and shake your head every time you see a woman in revealing clothing?

No. I sigh and shake my head everytime I see a video game character in revealing clothing bending over with a camera lingering on their ass.
FYI: RL =/= VG
And yes that applies for solid snake. Lest I be accused of being sexist.
Though if you must know whenever I see a woman in revealing clothing I fully look over the goods and pinpoint everyone of her flaws/good points and then rate her on a scale from one to ten.

I am quite aware that real life does not equate to video games, theres no need to be insulting. And how many other "video game characters in revealing clothing bending over with a camera lingering on thier ass" do you see?

Oh, I for one didn't take it personally. Just pointing out that sexy doesn't have to equal big boobs and lots of skin showing, especially when common sense would dictate you'd want some coverage.David Gaider wrote...

Isabela strikes me as a "blatant fanservice" kind of gal.
And how dare some fans like that, I suppose?
Well, I guess people can scold me for mentioning puritanism-- but listening to a bunch of people cluck their tongues in disapproval every time a character shows some thigh or some side boob sure starts to sound that way. I'd much rather someone just said her outfit looked bad, like "I would never wear that! Gawd, what is she thinking?" Which is probably what some people are saying, but I never said everyone feels this way. Christ. Make one broad generalization in response to a bunch of different people and everyone thinks you're talking about them personally.
It's subjective, of course, but IMO a little goes a long way with such things. Like you guys say in regards to swearing, i.e. infrequent and where it has impact.
Now I could think of all sorts of boob jokes using impact, but I'll refrain.

Old Snake was about 935345% sexier than his younger counterparts
Though I guess mostly having played JRPGs until now, I am grateful that it's only one character who forgot to put on pants and not ALL of them.

I was using hyperbole like you were.
Also insulting? Rather softskinned aren't you? That wasn't an insult anymore than your comparison to real life was meant to be...unless of course you ment it as an insult.
Though really female characters in revealing clothing bent over with a camera lingering on their ass usually isn't in the games I play because I want to avoid it. I actually play JRPGs because of the equal opportunity fanservice. For every female like Fran there's a Balthier/Basch.
I have seen plenty of jiggle physics. But...I consider that a pro.

Hmm, and yet our modern media has programmed us to believe that "big boobs and lots of skin showing" is indeed sexy, when you said it yourself - its entirely subjective. A bit of a contradiction, to be certain.

It makes a lot of sense, but in reality I can shift my focus, in the game it's thrust at you with no possibilty of shifting the focus, I've no problem with it, from my perspective it's just criticism of the scene as a whole.wulfsturm wrote...

Good god was his ass tight.
....Uh...I mean...uh...
And I fully admit to rotating the camera to check out Fran's buns of steel. Oddly enough though I'm more okay with Fran's outfit which is far more ridculous than Isabela's. Then again in Fran's case everyone was running around in stylized/semi revealing clothing not just the protagonists.

DAO Dalish light armor looked like cheerleader attire on female characters and fake boobs on the heavy armor was annoying-_-.
haven't read all and don't plan to read more but:
yeah but the light leathers all looked similar to that and they all had a fairly plausible design. I personally don't expect light leather armor to offer the same degree of Protection as Medium plates.
and In DA:O you could always swap hidious armors or impractical armors out over time if it bothered you. Unique Clothing Doesn't offer that same flexibility. Also Chainmail skirts like in the dalish armor and other light armors i would think fairly common of rogues of that time. It's not like armor plated pants were very manueverable. The only problem is that most light armors do not offer the pantleg down to boot look that higher tear light armors have in DA:O. Although both designs are feesible and have been used in that timeframe i'm sure.

Right because there's nothing at all between that.
Granted I could careless about Isabela's chest as long as it's not constantly shoved in my face but the point stands.

It was an insult to me because you presumed to think I did not know the differance between the two. And now I'm not sure if your fishing for comments now or have a subjective memory, but you seem to forget male characters like Jacob from ME2, Allistair and Zhevran from DA:O and Fenris and Varric from DA2. All can be construed as fanservice for female players.
And since you aparently don't know what Hyperbole means:
