Is Dragon Age going to do that stupid thing where girl characters are always skimpy?

Just kidding. I don't find the outfits to be to skimpy with the exception of Isabelle who has breasts the size of bowling balls. Looking at a picture iv got to say I am surprised when she jogs they don't smack her in the face and give her a concussion.

Hey now, let's not get into fangirl wars and the game isn't even out yet.  I'd let Marian do the dwarf if it's an option.  I just don't think his hairy chest is the equivalent of Isabela's knockers.  Except I'll be trying to ignore them both.

No, they're not. It really depends on the character-- some are going to be sexy, while others are much more modest. Otherwise, while we may not toss out the bikini chain mail a la Frank Frazetta we aren't particularly opposed to having some sexy or revealing outfits. Every character in the game is pretty much idealized, and don't take much "realism" into account with regards to the protectiveness of their coverings.

In other words, we're not going to lace everyone up to the collar and cover their ankles just so some folks don't get into a huff.

Plus I played Dude Shep and I didn't really see any panning of Jacob's body. Just one scene that was a bit...odd where Shepard mentions Garrus being in shape but it's pretty brief and not on the levels of the "Investigate DAT ASS" option.

That's still not really fanservice. Undergarments or unusal amount flesh showing, specifically with the intent of luring or pleasing fans of the opposite gender (or same, if that's who they are after ) is fanservice.

I just hope they have armor for both sides of this arguement. They did a good job of handeling this in Dragon Age Origins. Most armor was pretty much covering and they had some skimpy armor for those of us who wanted it to find in game. Something for everyone.

Oh believe me, I would have noticed any gratuitous close-ups on Jacob because I wanted them to be there. Even if his romance was not to my tastes, that is one fine looking man.

I did notice a couple of gratuitous Garrus buttshots, which made me laugh, but they weren't anywhere near as obvious as the Miranda conversations.

1. I'm not upset, don't presume to know how I feel.

2. There is a double standard going on, when people like you refuse to look at the other side of the coin (women getting fansevervice in BioWare games.)

3. I can definetly point out several scenes were Jacobs ass is perfectly in frame.

Edit for point:  It doesn't work the same way with most women, I'd wager.  I would not have wanted to encounter Zevran wearing skin-tight pants and a nipple ring.  As it is, in his armor, he was sexy.  It's when they try too hard that things get ugly.  Literally.

You agreed that whatever "fanservice" is available for Jacob, it is still not in the severity of Miranda. So all your points about it merely existing that is the flaw in our logic puzzles me.

As I said before, why would I be angry about about someone I don't know, will never know, nor care to know? I'm sorry, but you're just not that important. I bolded the numbers in my list to add punctuation, nothing more. I never said that Jacob's fanservice merely existing is the flaw in your logic, I said that you were not even trying to see the other side of the equation, that there was female fanservice to begin with. And the double standards you were making for not aknowlodgeing said fanservice.

And to the rest of your diatribe? Leave the psychoanalytical clap-trap to the proffesionals if you would, you're just embarassing yourself.
