This. I remember a few frames of Jacob's ass but A. Miranda's ass was in the same scene and B. The camera wasn't focused on it it was in view but not in the middle of the screen.

The only time I remember it perfectly in frame is during the first scene on the normandy where it does a slow pan across both Jacob's and Miranda's asses. (which was frankly annoying.)

And by that I infer there are no such screens. I have never seen any other than that one scene where both Jacob's and Miranda's asses are center stage.

I wouldn't assert something is in a game without being willing to back up my assertion. S'all I'm saying. Like those Garrus butt shots I was talking about? I can provide links to not just one, but two screenshots backing up my observation. So if theoretical person X said "Man, I don't remember seeing Garrus's butt" I could post those and they would be all "Huh, I guess those were in there," instead of tittering behind their hand because I made wild claims and them limply handwaved my way out of the conversation.

I recently tried a new game that came out (I'll leave it nameless) and I made a pretty tough looking female character and was very pleased with her and her outfit. Not five minutes into gameplay I got my first piece of armor and I went from bad ass to boobs falling out of my top. Every piece of armor I received after that was the same... very little clothing and my character's breasts seemed to be getting larger. I got pretty ticked and honestly the first thought that went through my head was that DA had spoiled me too much. I'm thrilled that the DA team allowed females to wear heavy armor that looks like... well... armor (even my mages wore armor lol). Yes there are some characters who wear clothes that aren't very practical. I don't think women's clothes irl are practical half the time, but people still buy it... and people still want it in their games. I think they provided a wonderful middle ground. They gave us the option, which is a hell of a lot more than many other games do and I love it.

To be fair, that second shot...isn't that when he's diving out of the way of the Gunner Ship during his recruitment mission? I don't think the camera even stays on his butt long enough that we can call it a 'butt shot'.

I think that Jacob's chiseled chest had just as much time on the center stage as Miranda's callipygous derriere.

There were plenty of polygons that everyone could enjoy, regardless of gender or sexual orientation in Mass Effect 2.

You keep mentioning all the shots you saw of Jacob that was on the level of Miranda's...yet I have never seen more than 2 on 12+ playthoughs. That's...rather odd.

Hell people have gotten it for Legion. Which is utterly hysterical. I think it had a "dat ass" tag too.

Yeah, it's really weird to have a big, dramatic introduction to the new Normandy start out with Miranda and Jacob's assets on display.

I assumed they did it because:
1. They wanted to be an 'equal opportunity' ass camera and knew Miranda was getting special butt close ups later on, but..
2. They didn't want just a shot of Jacob's butt, cause that would make male players uncomfortable.

I think that's a bit of a shallow statement; whenever I come out of the shower I am naked and thus "have to" see my ass in the large mirror that aposes the shower - I'm not exactly offended by what I was born with.

And I'm just going by what I've seen on average. I was playing HR and the scene were the male lead takes a shower I had several guys behind me (mostly dudes at my school) go various levels of "ew" and on the female shower scene practically started moving towards the screen.

Though there was of course the arbitary "Grow up." comment. I wasn't sure who said it though.

Nope. College.

And it was a general statement if you don't find yourself included that doesn't disprove the sentiment just means you're not one of those males.

Though I will correct it to "to protect some males from seeing another male's rear."
