Is Dragon Age going to do that stupid thing where girl characters are ALWAYS dressed skimpily?

I dont mind it in the slightest myself since im playing the game for fun and escape reality for a couple of hours and having grown up reading conan and many other fantasy novels I fully expect busty athletically toned beautiful slave girls umm I mean heroines beside me

Yes, she might have been freezing a bit, but you always have to pay a price to look good. Though I suspect the ability to turn into any number of furry creatures at will might have something to do with her lack of clothing.
Euphemism not intended.

To be fair you do have equivalents show up in the literature; Macbeth's witches come to mind, e.g.
(fiction too obv., but it shows that the concept wasn't completely alien until fantasy came into the picture. And that the idea comes from the beliefs and superstitions about these very medieval times)
Sure--dragons have precedent too.
But I can safely say that they were not, in fact, present in medieval Europe. Fiction back then had women warriors, too.

So? If there is winter and summer and in the winter plenty of snow, then in game there was summer and there can be 30 Celsius. If there was very cold those dudes wearing metal armour would have freezen! Yet I see them walking in metal armour. Or worse, they would had sweaten and after that freezen. Much worse.
Also if you live in countries where there can be cold winters, ye aint so emo and sensitive for cold weather.

Aye, that is my preference too even though I am unbothered of +35 Celcius. (From Scandinavia too.)

just because an attempt at fanservice fails that does not make it any less fanservice. I suspect on her own Jack was supposed to be fanservice but the chosen design came back and bit the devs in the rump (as hundreds of people either recoiled or went "meh"). But no one can say that miss nipple belt was not fanservice (yes I do like jack, even tho I was diappointed by her post romance lines).
Jacob and Thane may have failed at "servicing" the fans right (well....the ginormousness of the squee powered Thane thread before release would say otherwise) but they were fanservice
speaking of Fanservice......would girls consider Tusk from killer instinct fanservice? is THAT what it takes?

I'd say +20 is fine.
(A little bit hot but can be countered by wearing not much clothes.)

I wouldn't say Thane isn't supposed to be fanservice, even if some girls don't like him. However, is there any way to look at Isabela, Jack, Samara, and Miranda and not see the blatant fanservice? Morrigan, if you don't change her outfit, too.
There is fanservice for women, but it isn't equal. I suppose the issue here is that many men are uncomfortable with male fanservice, and many women don't perceive "his outfit completely covers his body--but look how wide his shoulders are!" as fanservice.

Because it's established as being cold (Fergus, HN Origin), and it's about to snow. Again, see RtO.

Hmm i wouldn't go as far, really. That is, not to say these who would be called "witches" had any sort of magical power of course, but the concept of an (old) woman dabbling in "medicine" and what we (or people of the times) consider "witchcraft", and living in the wilds as a result of it to avoid persecution from local lord and/or church? Pretty sure that was present.Saibh wrote...

If i'm not mistaken the context is what sort of outfit such person would wear, not whether they could do any actual magic?

Lol, have you ever hear anyone saying if you want something, then start working for it. I can't believe this is possible that women begin to complain they don't have similar fanservices as men do xD Or well, maybe I can, some women just think equality means everything men do for themselves they should do for women too

If a spoiled princess says "eeek how cold" it doesn't mean Morrigan would say the same. I however see very green nature in the swampsand in Ostagar, and unless principles of nature there are very different, it aint gonna
snow very soon unless some very extra-ordinary weather phenomenon is
coming. + Morri can shapeshift into furrie as someone mentioned if she become cold.
Leliana and Morri chatted in game and Leliana commented Morri's clothing as showing skin in the right way or something. Morri is plotting getting a kid with the warden, so it is in Morri's best interests to get attention from Warden. Showing some sideboob arguably helps in that.

I expect the in-game reason is a good one. Because it has a lot to explain.David Gaider, earlier on this thread, wrote...
Could be that we just wanted to show off their rippling muscles, sure. Or there could also be an in-game reason why they're not dressed in armor. Certainly we've never said that the qunari don't dress in actual armor ever.PsychoBlonde wrote...
Except on the Qunari. Going from "covered from head to toe in overlapping plates" to "no shirt and capri pants" is a big difference. But, hey, they're all ripped so I guess wanting to show off comes naturally or something.

What? Morri doesn't have stone skin spell in the beginning. Wynne have.
What I don't understand is from where people get this "omg there is so cold winter is coming" thing? Some delusional posh said so? I see cold environment only high in the mountains where cult of Andraste is.
Or is that "omg there is cold" just pulled out of hat in a sucky effort to get some grounds to whine of Morri's clothing?
