Is Dragon Age going to do that stupid thing where girl characters are ALWAYS dressed skimpily?

True that.

In that case I see someone who can carry a great deal of weight around (the necklace).
Though I'm glad she let the slaves go. I didn't want my Hawke to have to murder knife her.

Yeah, I don't dig the gold, I mean come on what was she thinking.

Thigh highs and gold do not work girlfriend. ^_^

It makes you look, cheap.....er.

WOOHO pirates of the carribean reference.

I know...it's just...my mom* use to tell me if I look in the mirror and my eye is instantly snagged on something that's not my face or my chest or wasn't flattering those two areas (My mom could be so gropey at times) I should take whatever it was off.

It's just too eye grabby and not in the good way.

LOL I don't mind thigh highs and gold (though personally I always found gold to be off putting looks wise. I'm more of a silver/diamonds kind of gal) but that thing looks like a neck brace.

LOL pirates of the Carribean = WIN!

*grandmother actually but I just call her mom.

I'm not an expert in pirate fashion (oxymoron ? lol) but I'm pretty sure gold is a requirement.

Ah true but the gold doesn't have to look so...neckbracey. Earrings, rings, belts, jewels in her hair. It could've looked a lot prettier/sexy than having a hunk of gold right on her neck looking widely uncomfortable.

Her boots could've been jewel encrusted as could her clothing. I'm not saing it had to be but there's plenty of ways to make her look like she has a lot of loot on her than that neckbrace. (Sorry can't think of it as anything but a neckbrace.)

Sorry, never paid any attention to anything that high up before now.

:kissing:

It looks like something you'd have on an animal, like a collar or something.

You dirty dog you. :P

It sort of does. I hope its explained in the narrative because I'm finding it hard to believe Isabela would choose that for attractiveness. (Or at least explained that she finds it nice to look at).

Now there's an interesting idea. From what I've seen of sarcastic Hawke ( which i love btw and will be playing forever and ever) I'm sure we get to question her choice of clothing and lack of pants.

One of the reasons I liked alpha protocol. Playing the 'snarky' agent was hilarious.

Now I'm picturing Snarky Hawke asking her if she's a well bred b**** because she has a golden collar on the rivarly path. Sorry sorry my own horrible sense of humor.

I have gots to play that game.

Though I hope Hawke can be the stoic. I just love switching between snarky and stoic. Too much fun.

LOL, I hope you have somewhere to hide after that, at least you don't have balls to be kicked after you've said that.

Yeah, Alpha protocol has mediocre combat mechanics at best, but the story and conversation systems are very good and more than makes up for it.  I especially like the timer on conversations, no debating a choice for hours, just go with it. It makes it a lot more natural.

Mage Hawke won't have to worry about being attacked. He'll freeze her in place before she can attack. :wizard:

I love playing mages.

The conversation wheel is just like mass effects, basically you have 3-4 different types of answers, snarky, professional filrty etc, and maybe 10 seconds to decide which one to go with. It's not a quick time event or anything, but it does make the conversation flow better. Just going afk leaving shepard mid conversation for god knows how long looks a bit silly.

But it's the closest thing I have to a pause button!

You can pause the game mid conversation, so it's not all bad. If you're really desperate. I know it fades the screen, at least darkens it a bit, not sure if you can still see the options though.

Wonder how many  pages of it is is directly relevant to the topic. half maybe haha.

Well, nothing fancy. For starters, it's an obsidian game, thus you only have the choice (or lack of) of playing male. There's some customisation with hair face and glasses/hats though.

Everything equipment related is just military garb, different types of body armor, stealth armor etc.

I wouldn't assume such.

Do I seem like someone who would assume that's why? :crying:

Just covering my bases, because I'd imagine that at least one person who'd assume that upon reading my post

Can you give him decent length hair?

I'm soooo sick of some (few to be true but still) assuming dudes have short hair. So sick. Sick of it in ME, sick of it in KOTOR just...sick of it. FNV character creator blew monkey chunks but at least my dude could have decent length hair.

So I suppose the armor was just typical fare then? Was it at least black? Everything's better in black. ^_^

Well, short hair is easier to model and looks better without physics. Long hair just looks weird without it and not to mention the clipping.

Alas this be true for this game as well

this vid covers it

Armor is your standard military colorscheme, ranging from SWAT blue, night ops black to desert camo.

I do agree that she is wearing too much bling though.  Though I think any excess bling looks bad in general.  Jewelry should be classy, and classy means expensive, but understated.  I do think the big earings fit her look though.  That necklace is just hideous.

She's a pirate, classy has nothing to do with it.
