Is Dragon Age going to do that stupid thing where girl characters are ALWAYS dressed skimpily?

I think her pirate outfit is missing something, a peg leg maybe? Very piraty, also very handy for crotch kicking.

I could picture her with a whip but a whip wouldn't go with that outfit very well.

Now if she had some tight black leather leggings and a tight black tube top on the other hand.

I'm liking this, go on.

Seriously, imagine the forum outrage if her preferred weapon was indeed a whip. The euphimisms would be never ending.

I don't want to be accused of fetishizing her.

So I'm afraid you'll have to imagine the rest my friend. Let's just say that thong wouldn't go to waste. :innocent:

Can't get much worse than it already is. Besides I like the sound of a whiplash. (Plus it gives us the "she's somewhat ranged!") excuse for her outfit.

With her outfit, It wouldn't be much of a stretch but sure I'll do what I can on my own.

A moment please

Done.

Because it's not sexy to everyone. So it can't override everything. All your left with is ... "uh ... so ... am I supposed to take her seriously?"

Also, immersion-breaking is a serious, serious problem.

Edit: my bad, you were  being sarcastic.

Um, too bad if she is not sexy for you. For me she is very sexy and original! Not wearing pants (though still wearing panties, I do hope a mod fixes that and) is just brilliant! And she's a pirate. How many pirates have you seen wearing a plate mail or militaristic armour in common pirate lore?

When I see her, I figured she'd be ranged from the start. A crossbow would be perfect, a small compact one, maybe a wrist mounted one, if we're allowed to take such artistic liberties.

Sounds pretty good. Probably could get it to fire smoke bombs to confuse the enemy in a pinch.

And yeah she stroke me as more a ranged fighter. (She is the one who said it's better not to get hit at all).

Isabela should wear SOME armor or armored clothes because wearing none, given what she is going to do, makes nosense

Thank you.

uh...what for?

Since Isabela was introduced I defended that position. I thought I was alone.

Um, she is wearing equivalent of leather armour protecting her legs. How many pirates you have seen wearing more armour than Isabella wears? And pirates "are going to do something" too.

Isabella is actually very well armoured when compared to stereotypical pirate.

I don't understand all this whining. If Isabella would wear only bikinis I could.

Good point, totally forgotten that bit. I wonder if they really had the intention of making Isabella a major character in Da2 after what they did with her in origins

Well, the ones I've seen are all wearing pants.

Honestly, I really like Isabela's outfit. I like the top, I love the boots, her bandanna has beautiful detailed threading on it, and her jewelry is looking better and better.

But...

Don't want to see her panties all the time. Hotpants would suffice.

It's one of my favorite quotes from her. She seemed like an attractive, sensible woman. "I fight with quickness and wit." there was something elegant about her (but that might just have been me picking up cues from Anora's VA). Now...not so much...still attractive but more of a seducer charm is in her now from what I've seen (which is admittedly very little).

And yeah I don't see it either.

And I defintely don't see her being completely incapable of using a bow. That's bleh She seems the type to use every resource available to her. Including a bow if necessary.

She is not at sea. Different mediums ask for different priorities.
I'm asking for her to have an armor level equivalent to a duelist. For example, padded cloth waistcoast, wide-brimmed hat, and an off-hand cape. Armor that enhances the "defensive mobility" vibe.

True that.

In that case I see someone who can carry a great deal of weight around (the necklace). Someone who likes to be up in her foes faces.

Though I'm glad she let the slaves go. I didn't want my Hawke to have to murder knife her.

Lol what? She is wearing now that "armour" everyone and his aunt were whining for.

Maybe they wanted her to fit the rogue archtype which is just melee based these days. I dunno.

...A gold neckbrace isn't armor. It's a gold neckbrace. An ugly gold neckbrace at that.

But rogues can use bows! The restriction is just...silly.

Can they in DA2? I'm not up to date on specific mechanics, all I've sen has been melee moves?

Nah. Rogues: Bows, dual daggers Warriors: 2HD swords, sword & shield Mages: Staff.

So yeah her not being able to equip bows is silly considering she's of the rogue class which can equip bows.

Then I stand corrected, and agreed. Crossbows, on her wrist(s) NOW.

I'd liked to have seen her with a flintlock pistol, but unfortunatly we don't deal with gunpowder in this fiction. Been playing too much fable 3 I guess.

Plus they can be elaborate and made of gold. And hopefully not look as guady as that neckbrace while actually being used for something! (Maybe a secret slot that the crossbow pops out of.)

Yeah no gun in DA  I'm afraid.

It is but just look at it

Image IPB

Does that really look comfortable?

In this shot too it immediately grabbed my attention:

That necklace does the equivalent of armouring her neck. + the necklace could be a loot trophy from some high status rival. The boots are equivalent to leather armour on her legs. The top can be kevlar reinforced (or the DA equivalent material), magically enchanced, and dragonbone reinforced as far as the braiding goes.

Sup everyone? Don't say "she does not wear armour" xD when she apparently wears more than typical pirate. If she just does it on her own way, it is another story and gives tons of charm to her when compared she would wear some Walmart leather armour (which would make people happy?)

...? Armoring your neck and not your chest is like covering part of your face. It only stops half damage. Add that to the fact that gold isn't overly resistant to anything (lest not last I checked gold was soft and not durable). If you have a piece of real gold bite it your teeth should leave marks. now would you want that to happen to your armor?

....Alright then. Since the point some people were trying to make sailed right over your head let's move along.

Hmm, the potential for gunpower weaponry just went up if this is true. Looted or otherwise.

Is that a cannon in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

It's a cannon, in fact.
