Bioware really should make a kotor 3 like tor good graphics but with story regarding kotor 1 and 2 and a option to play it online free or co - op space fight and like kotor 1 start beaing a (No force character ) (and option to mod it for the ones who like modding) then sub-types like tor then like kotor 2  and a option to find revan and the exile (you can import kotor 1 characters to make revan like you want and kotor 2 too

And just how do you propose they do that? BioWare have absolutely no rights to the Knights of the Old Republic sub-franchise of Star Wars, because they don't own them - LucasArts do.

If KotOR 3 ever happens, which I doubt it will - At least not until later in TOR's lifespan - then BioWare are not likely to be a part of it. Why, you ask? Because BioWare are an EA studio, they're not independent.

OnlyShallow89 sums it up pretty well and I'll add to that that making KotOR 3 now would be an afterthought only to please the ****ing fans. It probably wouldn't be good.

Well At Least Tryed It=(But Still Dont Close The Topic ¡Ha I Got An Idea Like DC UNIVERSE ONLINE They Should Make An Offline Version So You Can Play The Story Would Be Like Kotor Or A Starwars Dragon Age Origins And The Combat Like Mass Effect 2 Blasters=D

It's not BioWare's fault for no new KotOR; if anyone, blame LucasArts.

OnlyShallow89's point is that Bioware can't make a KOTOR game without Lucas Art's permission. They own the rights to the property which they licensed to Bioware. So posting here is a waste of time. You need to be posting on the Lucas Art's forums and trying to convince George.

Lucas Arts believes that the money is with the MMO cash cow, which everyone is still trying to milk.

Exactly! And with BioWare now being a subsidary of EA, and LucasArts and Activision practically having a shotgun wedding, I don't think it's likely we'll see BioWare do KotOR3 (Or any other Star Wars game). Whether BioWare want to do KotOR3 or not is irrelevant because it's not their property, it's not something they have a right to. LucasArts have to, as metatheurgist said, license the rights to BioWare for a title.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with a City of Heroes situation with BioWare Austin separating from BioWare and EA completely.

If you must keep hoping for a BioWare KotOR3, then do so. No one's going to stop you, but constantly nagging BioWare to make it is pointless. Again, as metatheurgist said, you need to go to LucasArts and tell them - Of course, they already know a small group of people want KotOR3, but maybe it's worth a try.

Read what I typed above.

No, they cannot. As I said to sirfranco, read what I typed above including metatheurgist's post.

Yes, and when would the deal have started? Oh, yeah, before EA bought BioWare. It would have factored into the agreement at the time, and it's why BioWare have been allowed to continue making this game.

EA are moving away from licensed properties in favour of original IPs, and LucasArts are known for their tight control over Star Wars (Tight control over IPs is one of the major reasons EA cited for moving away from them). This is practically a one-off release, and don't expect to see it happen again because, well, it won't.

That is an excellent point. I take it back. :)

Im still holding out hope that ToR wont be a complete disaster though. If its good it will be interesting to watch... if its GREAT i'll dish out a monthly sub to have a taste.

Ah who am I kidding i'll probably play it anyway but if its great then i'll CONTINUE to dish out a monthly sub. This is after all the first time ive even remotely considered buying an mmo. See if Bioware meant it when they said they were making Kotor 3,4,5 and 6. But I know I know this threads about kotor 3 excluding ToR so i'll just move along. ;)

This should really be in the spoiler section since you're talking about Revan. But I'll just say this, they kind of ruined the chances for a story for Kotor 3 that wraps up Revan's storyline. The best they can do is have him die against this Emperor in the new MMO. Just watch the historical entries on the TOR website.

LucasArts are wrong? About what?

And no, I highly doubt Mass Effect is classed as that, because there are so many games that have come before it and that have been much better or more influential.

YouTube doesn't really count. There is no 'best game of 2010', and even if there was, Mass Effect 2 would not be it.

Uh... BioWare were 'rich' before Mass Effect 2. They're part of EA now, money is not a problem for them.

And please stop rattling off games that sold well and claiming they're 'best games'. Sales figures are not a representation of quality.
