the kotor2 story was soooo retarded! Obsidian has left the kotor storyline in a crappy position, a position i feel will never recover.

TSL was absolute garbage. they only way they could ever get to a kotor3 is for Bio to do their own kotor2. but that would never happen.

It can recover but only if BioWare is developing the game from the ground up like the story and characters plus I personlly think kotor 2 was better then kotor 1 but the story really suck tho,Obsidian didn't do a good job with the story of kotor 2.

Bioware really should make a kotor 3 like tor good graphics but with story regarding kotor 1 and 2 and a option to play it online free or co - op space fight and like kotor 1 start beaing a (No force character ) (and option to mod it for the ones who like modding) then sub-types like tor then like kotor 2 and a option to find revan and the exile (you can import kotor 1 characters to make revan like you want and kotor 2 too
I agree 100%. Tor is not KOTOR 3, its only an MMO spinoff. It sucks as KOTOR 3 for a number of reasons.
TOR has a lame story and its concept about the True Sith is a joke. As Kreia sold them they should be the greatest villains of all time in the SW universe. What did we got with Tor? The renmants of the Naga Sadow empire? Those who got raped royally even at their height of power? Moreover all other subsequent stories in Tales of the Jedi were dealing with such renmants, its boring now.
And their desing? Do they really think that after decades of SW fandom I don't know a Galactic Empire rip-off when I see one? Its as unimaginative as you can get.
Moreover Tors graphic is mediocre at best and very cartoonish.
They tell it will be just as great as a KOTOR 3 and will be just as good singleplayer game as a KOTOR 3. Its impossible, they are making an MMO, they have to divide their resources while in KOTOR 3 every attention would go to the campaing. And lastly I can't import my Revan into the game, it'll be the canonical Revan if he shows up but I went dark side and my Revan is a badass Sith dude. So I'm not even interested in LS Revan( AKA. TOR Revans) story because that isn't my Revan.
So to sum it up without KOTOR 3 the KOTOR franchise is dead and I have absolutely no intention on wasting money on SWTOR crap( and I know a bunch of people who thinks the same)

That said, having played the TOR beta and seeing how the story works, I'm more than willing to concede TOR as Knights 3, and I think it'll be fantastic. I still hope that they do another proper entry in the series someday, though.

I know it's too late now, since TOR is already out... but that doesn't change how I feel, damnit!!!

Will it happen though? As long as TOR is on the table, it's not likely. But on the other hand seeing as TOR is about to become free to play after less than a year of its release, which is pretty much the same as a declaration from EA & Bioware that the game has failed, who knows? It may be possible.

Nothing would be better than to declare the novel Revan and TOR non-canon. The novel Revan not only establishes a canon Revan and Exile but also makes no sense from KotOR 1&2 point of view. It's just a mess, and TOR of course only compounds the problems from Revan.

TOR in and of itself is not bad.

Incidentally, when the subject of KotOR2 as a sequel came up, Bioware wasn't interested in dealing with it. Possibly the short time frame was already too short to suit Bioware. When KotOR2 did come out, Bioware refused to create a forum for the sequel, and locked down all attempts to discuss KotOR2 that came up in their own KotOR(1) forums.OnlyShallow89 wrote...
And just how do you propose they do that? BioWare have absolutely no rights to the Knights of the Old Republic sub-franchise of Star Wars, because they don't own them - LucasArts do.<br />
If KotOR 3 ever happens, which I doubt it will - At least not until later in TOR's lifespan - then BioWare are not likely to be a part of it. Why, you ask? Because BioWare are an EA studio, they're not independent.
I believe that there was some bad blood between Bioware and Lucas in that time frame, since then resolved for SW:ToR the MMO.
With Lucas himself out of the picture, and given the deep pockets Disney Studios has, another Star Wars Franchise PC-RPG is perhaps more likely now.

Agreed. I have no interest in an MMO that reinforces the idea of a canon Revan or Exile.
I want a KOTOR 3 or an unnumbered continuation of the series in the
same spirit. The Republic is over 10 000 years old; lots of room to tell
cool, interesting stories about the Jedi in!
I know it's too late now, since TOR is already out... but that doesn't change how I feel, damnit!!!
Exactly how I feel.

What if Kotor 3 retcon the **** out of TOR in relating Revan and Jedi Exile.
If only...I would buy this in a heart-beat.
