Let me guess, you're mad that I didn't include Fallout:New Vegas? I liked that game but it kept freezing on my PC so it's on the number 6 spot.

The storyline in Red Dead Redemption sucks just like in every other Rockstar game since the main character's motivations are completely hypocritical and overly preachy.(again, haven't played Red Dead Redemption but GTA IV was like this and since all Rockstar games are the same I'm applying this standard to RDR fairly)
rofl...awww that'll keep me amused for some time. If there's one thing i can say with absolute certainty and objectivity is that RDR's story was way ahead of ME2's "story"

I already mentioned that all video games are held to certain standards that determine their quality. The purpose of a game publication is to put their personal preferences aside and report on the facts. Does this game play well? Is the storyline worth a damn?
Nobody wants to hear about a game reviewer's personal preferences, they want to know if the game sucks or not and if we're going to declare that everything is subjective then game reviewers might as well not even exist.
Here are some "facts"
The graphics in Mass Effect 2 are amazing while the graphics in Read Dead Redemption look muddy, and have low resolution textures.
The controls suck, slow response time, poor hit detection, inconsistent frame rate(again, see above).
These are factors that transcend personal preference and are ways to determine the quality of all games.
God, I love stupid people. They do such a wonderful job of reminding me that I'm not the lowest form of life in existence.

Also, the voice acting that they dubbed the ME2 scene with in that video made me appreciate how good the VA's in the game like Yvonne Strahovski, Martin Sheen and Seth Green are. It just sounded so wrong (it wasn't terrible but I'm used to the other voices). I never really thought about it but it must be hard to make it sound convincing so that the player doesn't even notice.
I don't play many games so the only other one I bought this year (other than ME2) was Reach and I liked that a lot too.

Read Dead Redemption's storyline is just the cliched "Government is more evil than the outlaws" tripe we've seen in almost every Western flick before. Most Rockstar games are like this and the writing just sucks and makes the main characters look hypocritical.

I know, but compared to ME2's "story", or lack thereof, its practically Schindler's list.

Mass Effect 2 has some of the best writing I have ever seen in a game. Never before has a game made me feel so emotionally attatched to characters as hearing the personal stories of each one of my squad mates in Mass Effect 2. I cried while watching Thane confront his son and I NEVER cry at anything! I even laughed when Sephiroth impaled Aeries.

Sure some of the character missions are well done, but the "story", the supposedly motivating force behind the game, was so poorly thought out, and nonsensical it was laughable. Never in a game have i questioned my avatars actions so many times.

I don't care what some random douche on the internet has to say. What the guy is doing is just giving a barebones analysis of the plot and giving an interpretation with a lot of negative spin for the purpose of suiting his biased agenda.
The guy is just trying to ride of the wave of fame that other far more talented internet game critic/comedians like AVGN and Spoony are enjoying. Difference is that this guy doesn't have a lick of talent. He's just trying to stir up controversy by ragging on a popular game.
It's sad that you have to post other people's opinions. What's wrong? Not capable of coming to your own conclusions?

I thought he was a more low rent RedLetterMedia.
Whoever he is his criticism is completely illegitimate. His points about how certain things aren't explained well completely ignores the fact that this is part 2 of a trilogy and thus it's purpose is not to bring any resolution to the plot. It's very purpose is to give us more questions with minimal resolution.
Mass Effect 2's storyline is about character development and establishing a plausible scenario in mass Effect 3. By focusing on all that in mass Effect 2 that means Mass Effect 3 can focus entirely on the underlying plot without a bunch of clutter and side stories.
This idiot is just thinking "DERRRR! I WANT TO BE A FAMOUS INTERNET STAR SO I'LL BASH A POPULAR GAME, LOL!"
I could do it to by over simplifying the plot of a good game and making it look stupid.

Lol I actually watched the whole analysis. I don't agree with everything but it was still a great and sometimes funny watch. And the music choice is great.
