Yeah, but on Insanity?Kronner wrote...
Vanguard, there's no going back once you get addicted to Charge.

What else? Any other mode is way too easy and boring.

How hard exactly is Insanity, compare it to a different game.Kronner wrote...

That's impossible, each game requires different approach, you might be great at this game, but not that game etc.
In any case, Mass Effect 2 is certainly one of the easier games I have played. For example Unreal Tournament on Godlike is definitely more challenging IMHO.

Vanguard is easier on Hardcore/Insanity IMHO. Enemies have defenses, so they won't be flying all over the place when Charging. Instead they're stunned and keep still for a brief moment - easy point blank shotgun headshots; and (unless you're using the Scimitar) there are few enemies still standing after that.PsychoWARD23 wrote...

I wouldn't say that haha, while enemy flying back after Charge is really annoying thing, especially since I really love the close-up oneshot kills, you still take a lot more damage than on Veteran or whatever.

It's only a moderate step up from Hardcore. It's pretty well balanced and feels "fair". Enemies go down quickly so it isn't slow and tedious.PsychoWARD23 wrote...

You don't have to play as anything, every class is quite capable of finishing the game, with multiple strategies, on insanity. Adrenaline rush is a bit broken, I don't have the Blackstorm but it is pretty silly with the Mattock. If you avoid that sort of stuff you will have a better experience.Kabanya101 wrote...
If your going to play on insanity, you have to play as the soldier or infiltrator, because the effects of powers don't effect enemies when they have protection, which makes the blackstorm 80 round clip + adrenaline rush your best friend, with whatever ammo power. Makes insanity feel like normal in any other game

I was thinking of running an Infiltrator, but I'm not sure.[/quote
I love playing as a soldier or vanguard , lots of ppl in these forums like the inflitrator too.
But I like to get harden A.R. And commando , squad cyro and inferno ammo maxed with bonus power reave, along with Rev. To run up on enemies and light them up and I don't use hvy weapons to often
But arc projector on husk stops them in there tracks they move so slow after getting hit with it very effective on derelict reaper and on the mission you meet the Virmier survivor.
But if you want to go different besides soldier go vanguard

^That's a load of horse manure.
Yeah, sure, powers like Pull, Throw and Shockwave don't effect protected enemies, but that isn't a big deal. Once you get the hang of using powers against protections you will find that even the lowly Engineer can finish the game easily on insanity, not to mention the Adept rocks once you get the hang of it. For adepts you strip ONE guy, pull/warp bomb and then look for the ones that just got rocked by the explosion and repeat, for added fun add barrier and a shotgun and go to town. Singularity locks down enemies protection or not so no big deal. If you want to put in the work you can even do a no shooting run through insanity, it will be long and tedious but you can do it, because guns can speed up the run, but powers do play a BIG part of a successful adept.

I except to complete Insanity with a Sentinel as well, not so sure about the Adept. I expect it's quite doable, but the nerfed telekinetic powers are annoying - they should at least affect enemies with armor. I hate lore contradictions.

Currently, I'm playing through Insanity with a shotgun Sentinel. CQC combat can be frantic and risky, but it's incredibly satisfying.
