Depends on the circumstances, and how the ME3 romance is played out.



But if it's done in a believable way, like not rushing towards the marriage after mentioning it once, I'm okay with it.

But I like the idea of marriage with LI from ME1 or ME2.

I dunno. Its a mystery whether or not the squad will even be available for continuing romance. Its certainly possible, but I feel like BW would be wasting content on those who let their LI's die in the SM. But if the squad returns, I'm sure there will be something like this. Each character should have a unique culmination mission that completely defines the relationship (ex: meet Jack's parents, get planet back for Tali, help Jacob cope with father, etc).

It'll probably depend on the LI. All the human ones, and Liara most likely, except Jack would probably go for it and I don't know if marrying a alien is a common practice or even if those races have a equivalent to marraige.

Possibly, but I get the impression that ME3 will end on something of a bittersweet note. With the universe being saved from the Reapers but with a heavy cost.



I sincerely doubt everyone will make it out alive, I reckon Shepard will end up dying personally, not that I want it to happen.

Well if it is made possible, then I imagine it will be played out like Independence Day. The end is near, and two lovers want to be married before their more-than-likely-doom. I, for one, like the idea, it will make the Reaper threat seem more imminent

I don't think so. In a game like DA2, where there is down time... I can kind of see it. In something like Mass Effect... I don't see it happening. They're constantly rushing between places tracking down the Reapers. Plus Earth is going to be getting eaten. I don't think Shepard is going to be like "Well, let's let Earth burn a little longer.... Tali, marry me!""

It might be cool to either propose or be proposed to, I don't think I need to see a wedding. I don't mind that bit being left to the imagination. Besides I can't see Jack in a white dress. ;-) (Or my Shep for that matter.)

Dunno... it should be done very well, and also it will become quickly another reason to spread alien-romances hate: "Screw Tali and Liara! Shepard can have a normal marriage only with Ash and Miranda!". People are idiot... you know it will happen...

id love this but it has to be something u work for. like if u cheated on ur ME1 LI then they couldnt marry u. and u have to really want it because many players just want to "hit it, quit it, save the galaxy"

I'm pretty sure (well, I very much hope) there will be some variety as to how it ends, it would kill offf replay value quite a bit (for me anyway) if everyone always dies.

I'd be very surprised if there's any weddings though... perhaps an engagement and mention of a  wedding in an epilogue slide but no more than that.

i think it'll be more of a declaration of undying love or something. marriage is tricky in a game where there are more important things to worry about, like the destruction of all galactic life... you know?

Marriage tied into a possible ending with your LI is a good idea. Would also depend on how you played I think.

On a more tragic note: If you got married to your LI half way through the game and had the possibility of losing that person at some point or had to make a hard choice...basically like how the SM played out in ME2 were some could have died....your spouse surviving or dying would be a big moment in itself.

I'm hoping for quite a few different endings. Not just little things changed, but entirely unique. Although if you look at my sig you can clearly see my thoughts on this thread

I'm not sure, marrying while the Reapers are destroying the earth and galaxy seems a bit weird and marrying in the ending would feel a bit awkward to me.



I have to go with no, but it could work.
