I had random crashes to desktop pre-patch but after applying 1.02 haven't experienced a single crash, though this time I can't get any DLC to install. Always a catch, it seems...

Just installed Windows 7 Home Premium. Dragon Age plays well so far. In fact, I think it may even have given me extra frames per second. Though I need to check this.
But so far Dragon Age plays well on Windows 7 Home Premium. I use Steam.

Windows 7 is on the system requirements on the DAO case I bought two days ago at Wally World. Someone at Bioware must think it will work. So far no problems with DLC or patches, unlike Mass Effect and 7. Haven't got past the intro yet, but no indications of any problems.

There's no issue that I would attribute to running DA:O on a Windows 7 x64 capable system. The performance issues seems to be across a broad range of OS's and hardware configs. The performance appears to be hampered by the game engine not clearing game data efficiently. in other games, devs would eventually release a "garbage collection" or game cache clearing patch to eliminate such issues.
