OMG, I never thought about making my own recovery disc.

My litescribe is a USB

We will see how this digital download works. Downloading Awakening now. EA states I do not need to install previous patches because the 1.03 has all the previous patches in it. (We'llllllll see)

I dread playing up till redcliffe again especially with an ugly character. I've done that over 20 times in the past month

Several posts, most of them from around the launch of the game back in Nov. 2009, note that Dragon Age, for whatever reason, is temperamental when it comes to both overclocked core processors and GPUs. More to the point:  A Phenom X6 Thuban running at its native 3.2 Ghz is more than adequet for Dragon Age. I suggest you try to run the game at normal clock speed (your Asus board should make setting up overclocking profiles easy, and thus make it easy to switch between them) and see what happens.

Best,

RI

EDIT:  Same things goes for multi-GPU combos.  The game seems to be optimized for single-GPU play.  "Optimized" may be a generous term, implying that that's by design... it seems to run better for many on a single GPU.  Do a Google search for "Crossfire Dragon Age" and you'll see what I mean.  You have an incredible system, but I fear in the case of Dragon Age, unleasing all that power is like hunting pheasant with a Gatling gun.  :)
